Hi

I am just finishing off my website (beauty therapy) and you can put music on if you want ,

Ive just been on a website which had soft relaxing music on and it just went really well

but that was a website with pictures of massage etc whereas mine is brighter colours more dramatic pictures where soft relaxing music wouldent go as well

so I was thinking something catchy e.g christina As "you are beautiful"

or something else? ideas please

or do you just think music is plain annoying?

love to hear what you all think :)

I personally don't like music on websites - especially pan pipes - drives me nuts! But I just press mute if i don't want to hear it's no big deal. It wouldnt make me not want to go to you for a treatment!

If you like the thought of having music then go for it - If i had to choose then it would be something funky to sing along too - but i suppose that could put some consverative clients off! I guess its a matter of finding the right song to reflect your personailty and business. x

heheh guess what came up in search engine

beauty school drop out in the film grease

hehe just had to listen to it!

I personally prefer background music to be limited to music-related websites; for other websites that are not for musicians or bands it can be distracting or annoying.

However, if you really want music for your site then so be it - as long as people browsing to your site have the option to turn it off easily if they don't like it.

I second Ruths opinion but will go one further, give your visitors the option to turn it ON, have it OFF by default. Why? Have a look around....do you see many other sites offering music to their visitors? Most people find it annoying, the best bet is to go with what most people want. :)

Aye, and one of the worst possible things is when you forget that you've got sound enabled on your computer in the office, and you go to a website that has obtrusive music on just as your boss walks up behind you, and you end up blasting the entire office out!

Surfing the web while being paid to do proper work? No, surely not...... how can you even think such a thing? :wink2:

I personally don't like music on websites as it's usually cheesey and annoying and comes on too loudly !
Just my opinion :)

LOL, your website is a true classic - breaks a lot of the rules but just "works" all the same - a sign of genius ;)
