Wella 9/8

Used 9/8 on a client as she wanted this colour rather than her previous tone, however in parts of her hair it stained quite violet?
I've never used these tones before.
This time she has said she wants lighter so I'm going to try 10/8 plus a little bit of 10/0
Client has 70% white/grey hair. Her hair is strong resistant type hair. Her idea is to blend the colour we use so it blends better with her white/grey.
Any suggestions or corrections to my colour mix?

The 10/0 will neutralise the ash so it will be much softer should work perfect or even mix it with 8/0 to bring it down to level 9
