That looks like a car crash!

What does she want?

It was box dyed a dark brown I would say about a 4 or a 5!! I'm just stumped what to do... She did 2 lots of bleach left the first lot on for 20 mins second on for 30 mins..... Shall I do a couple bleach baths and perhaps put an ash brown maybe a 7 on top to cover it with a nourishing conditioning treatment??? It definitely looks like a car crash lol!!! Xxx

She wanted a light brown, about a 7 base. I did say to her I could do it in the week but she was inpatient....

Looks in very bad condition. Definitely get strand testing. Id recommend doing blondor and pastel in a 1:4 ratio, if the condition allows you can apply 3 times in one sitting. Can be left on for up to 50 minutes. Then i'd be looking at illumina, depending what you get it to, as a gloss as i find this locks it in much better and stops fading. Definitely some conditioning treatments!

Is she looking for a warm 7 or like a ashy mousy level 7?

So mix blondor with pastel developer, leave it for 50 mins repeat if nessessary then With illumina I'll use an ash 7 and mix in a little 7/81 like you sugested with my mums hair to loose the orangey tones ?? This is not what I was planning to do with my Sunday afternoon :( lol why do people do it? Whhhhhyyyyyyyyyyy! Xxx

I wouldn't even use the 7/. I'd stick with just the 7/81, it'll more than likely be VERY warm. Yeah 1 part blondor to 4 parts pastel. Then once lifted to the correct undertone use 7/81 with pastel and service conditioner in a 1:1:1 ratio. Strand test is essential though because the condition looks very bad, it may just be because its unstyled but i'd still do one.

Deffinately gonna get strand testing lol xxx

In the US the illumina instuction booklet says you can use the sp color save for glossing, but i never have. I did use generic anti oxy once when doing a gloss on my own hair. It worked just fine. Wouldn't do that on a client though.

Yes you can use that also! OP you can use just pastel in a 1:2 but be aware it'll fade faster than the gloss, ive found anyway.

Here's the end result..... Gorgeous ash brown hair..... Thank you all so much for your support!! I bleached it all so it wasn't patchy and it wasn't a dark orange..... Such a beautiful color. Just had a good couple inches cut off. Its in relatively good condition suprisingly!!! Xxx

Exactly what cam said, apart from the bleaching process.... I did use bleach with 3 % on most of the hair and in some areas which were still quite dark from the clients poor application I used bleach with 6 % to make it all even, then used the 1:1:1 ratio illumina color 7/81 xxx
