What is a good brand to use for makeup

Just wondering, I need something not ridiculously expensive but good quality so I'm willing to spend to get it.

So brands, mac, smash box? Etc

For your kit or a salon?

For a kit, it's best to have a mix of brands, IMHO.

For a kit I'd recommend MAC and Benefit.
It's best to have a variety of items and I really enjoy those two brands.
I use my MAC shadows quite often and I love a lot of Benefits products such as the High Beam highlighter!

I would say benefit also - good range of products and colours and not too crazy on price 👍
