Hi everyone,

what general things should you avoid to keep hands and nail healthy?

Like using your nails as tools etc?!

:idea: general cleaning products unless your wearing gloves

Avoid using your nails to do anything.

Avoid anything that will cause dehydration of the plate: Over exposure to water, solvents, harsh chemical cleaners.

Avoid harsh abrasives and heavy filing.

Eat a good healthy fresh food diet.

I'm sure one could go on and on. It is mostly common sense isn't it?

Lol I have a friend who was so obsessed with keeping water away from her nails, that she even showered wearing latex gloves!!! The only time she let water touch her hands was when she washed them generally!

I did that for 2 weeks, as I was wearing feathers on my nails and water could of damaged them!! it was amusing. I love wearing gloves but they don't fit my long nails lol!!

basically, if you want your hands to remain beautiful... avoid using them! lol.
take care of them on a regular basis, just like your feet!
