Hi all,

Please can you tell me which is the BEST!!!! Product Brand on the Market at the moment?????

The best product is the one that works best for you to provide beautiful, long lasting enhancements.

Thanks for that, I currently use NSI (Spa Liquid) & NFU-Oh, i have have been working in the salon for 2 yrs now being the ony tech their, we have recently had another tech join after her shop closing, and she uses CND and thinks she is the BEST!!! she uses the BEST!!! and is now informing clients that the products i use are no-good and hers will last 6weeks....

I love what i do and i am always researching and finding out the lastest...

She informs everyon she is 6th in the country, well i know thats not true and 6th wouldn't be something i would be bragging about...

I have had Gemma Lambert do mine at the Beauty Show Excel 2009 coming 3rd and she is nowhere near her league....

Isnt that unproffesional of her since you 2 are working in the same place??

Ive worked with NSI and CND and I like both but I seem to always have lifting with NSI so I guess right now Im favoring CND. There are a lot of tech on here that are very successful with NSI though. It just may not be the best prduct for me.

Ive never used the Spa liquid though, I used attraction...

CND has led the industry for more than 30 years now. It is undoubtedly the best quality product out there and DOES outlast any other for your clients .. I agree with your friend.

Easy way to find out how it compares is to buy a CND Try Me Kit and try it on yourself. They are very inexpensive and you will have enough to do a set on yourself and to maintain it for quite a few weeks. If you are already a good technician you owe it to yourself to try it.

Some of the things you will find if you do.

CND much easier to file and therefore much less work for you.
Creamier easier consistency (but requires a lighter touch with the brush than you currently will be doing).
No product discolouration from month to month
No need to use primer
No need to file the nail plate
No lifting
FAR fewer breakages for you or your clients

If you like the results (and you will) then do a conversion class to then get the very best from the products.

PS As to your last comment ..... Just because a person wins a competition does not make them a good salon tech and the best salon tech may not be a competion tech; the two things are completely different. So the last comment makes no sense.

I would try a few products before making a final decision, that way you will know what works for you. CND are fab but I swopped last year to Young Nails and am doing really well with that. Everyone is different and you just need to find what is best for you. I think your problem is more to do with this other girl who is at very least, unprofessional. There are lots of top companies and lots of competition winners using different brands from eachother so there is no absolute answer to your question it is a matter of trial and error until you find what you love. :)

It all sounds like a bit of professional jealousy to me.

No one can say anyone is being unprofessional when we do not know what anyone has actually said.

I and many many thousands of others are very proud to say they are CND trained and CND users. Being proud of what you do and use is not unprofessional.

I also doubt very much that anyone with half a brain and working closely with another tech n the same salon would bad mouth another's choice of product .. nothing wrong in saying why she loves what SHE uses though. If the poster takes that as critisism then the answer is to try CND and see for herself.

i can see things from both sides here and good points have been made by all.

however i do think that informing clients within the same salon that the products another is using is rather unprofessional. bringing a bad rep to the salon you work within does nobody any favours.

poster... are you having any problems with the nails you are doing for your clients? or just concerned that the other tech is spoiling your reputation.?

I have obviously read the something different. I was relatively pleased with CND and used their products for 2 years but find Young Nails more to my liking. I always include CND when anyone asks for a good brand of nail products and feel that it should be left open as to which brand is the BEST. There is no 'best' brand but there are several very good and excellent ones.

I stand by what I said as regards to what is being said as unprofessional as it is not just saying that she likes CND or even that she thinks it is the best but saying that NSI are rubbish, that is my point.

I take, at face value, what has been quoted here as I have no reason to question the honesty of the poster. I do feel disappointed here sometimes that individual opinions are not always respected as they should be.

I must be very unprofesional then  I would tell anyone I was working on that my CND products were wonderful and will last and last for them .... because I know they will. In any case, We don't know what the technician is really saying if she is saying anything at all and only have ONE side of the story here.

Come to it, it is decidedly unprofessional to disrespect the work of a colleague who claims to have won some award as being not a patch on someone else's, right here on a public forum!! Very poor behaviour IMHO The whole post sounds spiteful so I prefer to take with a pinch of salt.

No one is disrespecting anyone else's opinion. But I think it is a great mistake to make judgments when only one side of the story is being told.

You know that you are not unprofessional Gigi and we all would praise our products whichever one we love. My point is that if we are going to second guess everyone who posts here then we have a big problem and we are all going to become reluctant to post for fear of being attacked!

Yes this is a public forum but we all have user names and no-one has been named here. Unlike in the salon where everyone knows who is being talked about.

I am not going to enter into an argument here but I feel that if this was not a suitable post in the first place then the thread should have been closed or removed.

CND is a fabulous product, but so are many more. IMHO :)

You know what? You are probably right about the thread being deleted. It serves no purpose. The post is negative and snide and slagging off a person who is all BUT named.

These threads always have the usual games being played where all goes well until someone praises CND and then the usual bunch jump in to say what they always say which is that they love what they are using which is fine, but everyone knows where CND stands in the pecking order and we all know it is at the top which doesn't happen overnight or for no reason which we all also know. So threads like this one are always identical and always end up the same.

God i didn't ask for a dispute about it ok, i just wanted to know what is the best on the market at the moment....

I'm not having someone who has just joined the salon working next to me who has only used 1 brand to say to clients the products i use are no good, I did my coiurse with PURE NAILS as it is local to me, i then changed after my course to NSI i love it and over the last 6 months have tried NFU Oh and think it is fantastic, im not interested in changing to CND (as it seems everyone that uses it thinks you should) as for CND no lifting well no i have seen her results as a friend of mine does go to her and i thinks her work is sometimes terrible, and to actualy have to remove a green nail from her application doesnt say much for her anyway.... this was 2yr ago when i just started....

To behonest its not about the product its how you use it and how you apply it i have had clients go 4 weeks without infill no lifting, if its applied correctly it shoudln't matter what you use...

I just wanted to know what the best is at the moment thats all!!!!!!!!!!!

""""poster... are you having any problems with the nails you are doing for your clients? or just concerned that the other tech is spoiling your reputation.? """"

I have no problens at all with my work, just she is spoiling my reputaion that i have built hard to get.....
She has just closed her business down after a year as she can't afford to run it, doesn't that say something and also droping from £35 a set to £25 on offers before joing our salon....

Then to be told by the same girl wh she told my product is rubish that she is only building up and then going.... Very unprofessional i say......

I think this thread now needs to be closed as it is going no where.

The term "best" is relative - what is the best skincare - the one which suits your skin. What is the best nail enhancement product - yes, the one which suits you best. There are statistics about percentages of technicians using each product.

To the original poster - if you have problems with the other technician in the salon, then these issues need to be taken up with her or the salon boss, not aired on a public forum for all to put in their tuppence worth.

Complaining about other people or companies is actually against the site rules.

Sounds to me like you've been told which is the best .. you just don't want to hear it so what is the actual purpose of this thread.

You are right that it is about how you use any product which is why CND do not sell to anyone without training with CND .. that is very important to us. With the right training all I said above is absolutely true.

Why not just do a search here on the site and see what you come up with as an answer to your question? :green:
