Hi All, quite new to nails, Im having problems with my brushes, they are just cheap ones, can anyone recommend a really good acrylic brush? I think no 8 is mostly used for acrylic am I right? Also I have got trial sets of IBD and NSI what do you all use, I cant seem to work well with these, or is it my brush that is causing the problems? I cant seem to get the acrylic to go on evenly!! Holy smoke please help!!

This is a really personal decision. Not everybody works the same. You may have to try 2 or 3 sizes and shapes before you find one that works for you. Just make sure that it is a quality Kolinsky sable. I personally use a #6 flat for L&P and OPI Golden Point for 3D and 6 IBD Takalon Flat for gel.

yes personal choice, but when you first start out, it is sometimes easier to use the brush that comes with the system you train in. Which did you train with??

You will find that the brush that comes with a system does so for a reason, it has been chosen to work with that product, and hold the right amount of monomer.
And if you are using different systems you should really be using a different brush for each hth xx

Thanks guys, I trained with NSI, but I have been trying diferent brands, which do you think is the best system, some people have told me to use magnetic? Any good?

Don't no about magnetic but CND are AMAZING and there are plenty of techs that will tell you so the products and the education (which you should never underestimate the value of) are 2nd to none, i also like Entity. Do a search or magnetic that should give you some help. :)

I use NSI too and their Royal Precision Brush No.8 is fantastic. It is the best thing I have purchased, makes smile lines and product placement so much easier than trying to struggle with cheap brushes. It will be money well spent, you will not be disappointed. I think it was on offer last month too have a look it might still be but still worth every penny anyway. x

;)I use the nsi royal pesision brush also, and you are right, it is the best brush i have, and i have lots....learned with opi so kept buying them, but the nsi one is what i use everyday...it is a bit pricey if you are used to the cheapies, but soooo worth the $...
