I have purchased the pink sculpt gel from ibd and dont know which of their many glues to use. One of my clients is allergic to star nails glue and I want to make sure we dont have any problems with this one. Can anyone advise me which glue they use please....?

You need to know which ingredients in the Star Nails adhesive your client is allergic to.

Can you try sculpting with forms with her instead of using tips?

Thanks i did look at chemical differences and opted for a non resin glue. I haven't trained in sculpting and my client likes uniformity so bit risky practicing on her.
I used the ultra seal over the top of her gel, which on 4 fingers was great and gave the glass-like finish that it promised but the other 6 nails were cloudy!!! Can you tell me why that could happen, i really didnt do anything different from the first 4 nails i set??!!

To my knowledge all nail adhesives are ethyl cynoacrylate (whether a resin or not). Quality can differ, but if your client is allergic to one then she may be allergic to all.

CND adhesive is also EC but it is surgical and phamaceutical quality which is more refined. But in my experience if a client is allergic to one she will be allergic to all. Sculpting is definitely the best option as Sandi suggests. Keep away from adhesives alltogether.

thank you i would be inclined to agree and am going to book sculpting training asap with ibd. Do you have any experience with the ulraseal? cant fathom how i can get different results when doing all 10 fingers same way at same time?!?

Is UltraSeal like a Gloss finish that you apply to the nails at the end of the service?
If so then it could be that you didn't remove all of the dust or that there were some trace oils on her enhancements where they've been touched by your/her fingers during the treatment.

it's possible that the nailwipe you used had some gelresidue on it and when using it to wipe of the stickygel it leaves a cloudiness on the nail .
I use ibd french extreme and got in contact with ibd intenseseal ,never again will I use ultraseal, intenseseal is glossier and stays like that longer than ultraseal and when you cured it under your lamp you don't have to wipe off the sticky gelresidue.
When you take off the stickiness use a new nailwipe
