Hi Everyone,

I have done a 10 week acrylic course with EzFlow, plus a couple design courses with EzFlow again... However, my recent subsription to Scratch magazine barely have anything in there on EzFlow at all...

The one thats featured the most I think is Nfu.Oh - is this a better brand to use??

I feel like such a novice and really want to be a Nail Technician entering competitians and things, have my own Nail Salon but I feel like I have only touched the Tip of the Iceberg.

I want to learn how to do Gels but who is the best school, college or learning course to take. should I continue with EzFlow if thats who I started with or would a change be good?!

I am really dis-heartened at the moment because I can't get enough clients to do regular nails so I am also very slow compared to the normal salon times.

Has anyone got any advice at all I feel like I have hit a brick wall... Also is it possible to do nails professionally just on sets etc for photoshoots and things?? I will appreciate any advice anyone can give me.

Thank you

Woah.....First of all slow down. Take a deep breath.
Ezflow is one of the leading brands so you chose well with the company you did your training with.
Just because scratch may not feature them as much does not mean that they are a rubbish company.

The industry that you have chosen to be part of is one that involves lots of hard work, patience and training to become the best.

Nfu-oh are a relativly new brand here in the uk but yes they are amazing.
Learn the system you have trained with first before embarking on learning any other new skills to confuse yourself.
Become proficient in your skills then move on and if you want do some conversions courses to different brands. or different systems perfect the one you have just learnt first.
You know what they say...."good things come to those who wait" and this profession is a good example of that.
Once you have your timings down, your application skills perfected then move on.
Clients will pick up once people start talking about your work, you need to advertise and work your ass off at putting yourself out there it does take a while to build up an established client base.
Don't get disheartened with your lack of clients or timings you just need to practise, practise , practise to get it down.
By the way, welcome to the industry.

HI,

I'm guessing by your location you have done your training at Red 10 in Doncaster with Jo Shirley's team? If so you're in very cabable hands and have received excellent training.

Keep at it, keep practiscing and keep learning!

EzFlow often have features/adverts in Scratch magazine as do many other nail brands and some have more than others, this does not make them any better/worse than any others.

I would try and master your acrylic application before you move onto gel. Better to be a master of one system than being average at 2!!

Thank you... It is much appreciated I just felt like I wasnt getting anywhere so this has made me feel better.

Yes I trained at Red10 and they are a good bunch of people I liked training with them I just wanted to be sure I was using the best brand.

Thanks again

Any more responses and opinions would be appreciated.
