Sorry if I've posted this wrong, but I'm trying to help out my daughter who is doing the Fake Bake training course today. She was hoping to purchase the new Fake Bake pod, but has been told there's at least a 7 week wait time on this.

I've seen loads of links on the site for the best machines to use, but she's just starting out and could really do with getting a good, reliable machine for a reasonable price. She tells me it has to be HVLP.

I've had a look around the Internet and seen loads and understand there's a difference between airbrush and HVLP. One of the links was to ebay selling an HVLP 700 (not T700) machine for around £100 which seems to good to be true. However, their feedback is 100% so I need advice. I could go around all day searching for her, but if anyone has used this machine or knows where I could get her a machine, ideally for less than £300, please could you let me know.

Many thanks for reading this and for advice received.

If you have a very limited budget then the HVLP700 is OK...if you have a little more then go to the HV5008 machine which is more suited to doing more spray tans...there are many suppliers ...simply google HVLP700 and or HV5008 and they will all pop up.

Talking of pop ups ..you will need one of these also....a machine and a pop up with some solution should easily come in at under £300

Try and avoid buying from E Bay as there are some rouge suppliers there...not all of them..just some..but its hard knowing which one is good or bad until its to late .

Hope that helps and good luck

Hello, firstly what a mum you are!! Anyway back to you question. In our opinion you do not need a huge budget for a good reliable spray tan machine and we would highly recommend the HV5008 which is the mummy of the 700 ( which is used for low usage)
It is the workhorse of the industry and is british made. You will see it available with a lot of spray tan companies along with other more expensive machines but, we only stock this machine simply because it does exactly what its supposed to do for a fair price. Why would you want to pay more?
Hope this helps

Thank you both for your messages. I have just had another look on the Internet and can find the HVLP with a pop up tent for around £250 which is great. She's just rang me to say all going well and she's going to buy her products, but is obviously keen to get going. Suppose I had better start spending ... ! Thanks again for your help, it is very much appreciated.

Good luck to your daughters new business venture

Thanks Angelina ... that's the one I saw. I think that's probably the one I will get for her as it is really brilliant value compared to others.

Thank you for your advice Collin. I really appreciate it. My daughter loves anything to do with beauty and wishes she did that when she left school, but opted for secretarial. Now she's doing courses as and when she can. Nails done, but wants another one and she loves the fake tans ... as do her friends. At least she can keep an income whilst she builds up a client base.

I got that offer from them too and its great, it arrived in three days and I'm in Ireland!! The tan is lovely too and the customer service is really good.
Best of Luck to your daughter x

I ordered the kit from LA Tanning and it arrived within 2 days. Excellent value and brilliant delivery. My daughter's over the moon with it. She now just needs her Fake Bake account set up (which seems to take forever) to get going.

Thank you everyone for your help and advice.
