Hello,

I am new to this forum and it looks great.

I am currently training towards ITEC Beauty Specialist course and i was looking ahead as i would like to concerntrate on nail treatments.

I have been looking at star nails and creative nails. I have heard that creative have been taken over but i cant seem to find in the net who by?
Does anyone know? and also does anyone have any experience with either of these courses?

Thanks for your help and advise.

CND are still CND
It was the distributors that changed,
The UK distributors are now Sweet Squared,
Sam Sweet, Samantha Sweet, Gigi Rouse, Jim Nordstrom and a few other industry greats that i cant remember the name of, but i can assure you that it is better than ever before as these people are so passionate about this industry,
if you want to make any enquiries the number is 0845 2106060
oh yes i nearly forgot
THE TRAINING IS FAB

This course is OK as a stepping stone, you will find it hard to find work in a salon with just this qualification and it is not recognised by most of the top nail companies so you would not be able to do a conversion course with any of them you would have to start from scratch and do a foundation course hth

I agree with Lou, you cant go wrong with Creative. Their products, their standards, and their education are all fantastic and I recommend them highly

Thanks everyone i think i may be heading towards the creative course route :)

Is this the web site which i should be looking at: -

Creative Nail Design Nail Technician Training Academies United Kingdom

I have also been looking at this site which offers star nails, the first day you have a dabble in the different nail extensions and then you choose which one you want to concerntrate on for the rest of the course, which i thought was quite good.

Introduction

I am very confused which one to go for.

Thank You

Have to say, and I will stress it now that this is just my own opinion and that is that I don't like Star nails products.
I have no experience of their training but on this site, there are loads of nail geeks who trained with star nails and then went on to train with Creative and several other companies, there is not a single person who has trained with one of the big companies who has then gone to train with Star nails.
This tells me (and again this is just my opinion )that Star nails do not offer any advanced techniques and I know that their product range does not deliver as good a result as Creative.
I would contact Sweet squared for your local creative training school.
You get what you pay for in this industry and for me that means I want the best.

I trained with creative in ludlow last year and found the course hard work but very rewarding the teacher was fab and i feel more than comfortable to call anytime i encounter a problem, i wouldn't train anywhere else!

Creative have fantastic products, fab training and excellent customer care, you just can't go wrong! If you look at all the threads on here you will see just how good they are. x
