im doing a fibreglass nail course with essential nails, but im having a few problems. i have to do the nails and send them in to be marked but when i buff the nails to a high shine, i seem to get little white marks that wont come off? what am i doing wrong? i dont know whether they will mark me down on this.

could be bubbles under the fiber?

I don't know Essential nails way of doing so I can't really help..

i put the fibreglass on then a couple of coats of resin, then buff then do a couple more coats. but its at the end when im using the 3 sided buffer that it happens.

It sound like dust gathering in the dips in the product to me,this can be resolved by concentrating on your application and refinement hth's

ive been using a spray activator. do you think this is causing dips in the resin?

Hi, ring Sarah at en she will help you or use their ring back service. Carole xx

could be due to the spray, wait maybe 30 seconds before using it...

I have had this problem before. try using a 240 grit file before the 3 way buffer. i also use cuticle oil before 3 way buffing. hope this helps x

:DThanks for all your replys. I will give all your ideas ago, and see what happens.

It's definately dips in the resin. You're spraying too close and too much. Hold the spray a good 18 ins away and only spray a tiny amount. Allow time for curing.

A good resin layer should only need the lightest touch with a whire block or similar. If you get white spots they need buffing right out with a 240. Trouble is, by that time you will have buffed most of the resin away! At least 1 mor layer will now be needed.

Don't hide the spots with oil because they will still be there!

I thought it might have been the spray activator, problem is a can be impatient sometimes ad spray more to make it set quicker.

i tried some last night and followed your advice and i didnt get any.

thanks for your help
