Title should read Over Blend, not Ver Blend lol

Hello
Im new to the boards, so I hope Im posting in the right bit lol.
My question is if you had over blended tips, would you be able to see
they were over blended through clear acrylic?
Thanks
Michelle

What exactly do you mean by 'over-blending'?

I think the best thing to do would be to talk to your tutor and find out why she thought they were over-blended.
Personally, to be over-blended would mean that you have filed to far thus creating a ring of fire-but you said the nail plate was not red so thats obviously not what she meant. Then again, maybe you had filed too much, not enough to create a ring of fire but enough to over-file the natural nail and create a groove between the tip and the nail. This would mean the tips were not flush.
Other than that, Im at a loss, so as I say, ask your tutor-did she not explain at the time?
x

Very strange. The whole idea of blending a tip is so that the join between the nail and tip is seamless.
Looking forward to seeing the photo.

Hope this works. Please remember Im not qualified yet lol, this was for an assessment:rolleyes:

Well their great for still training. I have scrutinised these photoes and have no idea what she means!
They look great. If you get marked down because of this so called 'over-blending' I would cause a bit of a stink. She may be the tutor, but what she is saying does not make sense.
Please let me know what she says when you speak to her or get your grading back from your assessment.

Michelle,
Im also still training, and i think your tutor is MAD....i think these nails are fab.....Well donexxx

Looking at the thumb pictures im wondering if you might have over-filed slightly causing the smile line to not be as neat as it could be...?? Id also say to make sure you blend zone 3 (cuticle area) more so there is no step or ridge or they will lift, overall I think youve done quite well.

btw its a good thing for your tutor to have high standards this will make you want to do better and try harder to improve...you can ALWAYS do better, try not to get offended by your tutor..accept her comments work with her and learn from it..if you dont agree or understand why she has said or done something then ask her and tell her you dont understand, its in your best interests after all x
