Hi guys,

I did a lovely set of nails a fortnight ago and they have gone yellow and my lady is having a squinny about them (understandable but phoning me every day to tell me they are still yellow isn't helping!)

Anyway i'm using NSI and followed all the procedure for prep then the tips and then the acrylic and the last set she had were beautiful and not a bit yellow.

She is a smoker so i could understand it if it was just those fingers but it's both hands some worse than others. She has also done a bit of bleaching not much but she has 3 young kiddies but a bit - Could that have done it?

Can anyone shed any light on the subject for me?

Thanks a million x

Sunbed? (esp. when used with tan accellerator creams) Sandwich maker (onion!?) Fake tan? some cleaning sprays/solutions? Even a diehard olives/feta/oliveoil addict?!?!? I've noticed all these things can sometimes discolour nails on the odd occassion, especially after two weeks. Apparently, a childminder client of mine swears its playdoh that does it! Asides from the obvious smoking...

I'm not saying all these things cause yellowing or discolouring ALL the time, but its worth considering.

Just get her in and have a look for yourself first. Have you used a new top coat maybe? I use UV30 from ezflow on clients with the odd bit of discolouration when they come for infills, and it works a treat. hth x

Iv only done little pratice but sounds to me that she used something to make them go like this.Iv had this happen to a friend when she had a self tan, some creams made her nails go yellow also.Im sure a geek that has experience in acrylic can help you more.As im new to acrylic sorry i cant help more hun.xx
