Hi
Does anyone happen to know if Portsmouth council require us to have a special treatments license to practiceD beauty treatments in Portsmouth?
For manicure, pedicure, lashes, waxing and tinting.
I know some councils require them but I can’t find out if Portsmouth do! Not even by calling...
I’ve been wondering this as I choose a lash lift brand.
Why does it have a shorter processing time? Because surely perming is perming?
Unless it’s stronger and can for that reason be faster but then is it therefore more damaging on lashes?
Hoping there’s a different reason!
I’m going to be renting a room in a hair salon soon where I will do beauty treatments.
It will be my own business and provide all my own stuff, sort my own hours and calendar and I will pay them rent.
Can anyone give me any advice? Need to knows? Checklists of things I need to do? Hints and...
Hi
I’m looking at what lash lift brand to use.
I trained in salon systems and it’s fine. But wondering if any others would be better and why? What’s good about the brand you prefer?
Thanks
Hello
Can anyone recommend a lash tech in Portsmouth please? I'm looking to get them done for my wedding. Would like to try having them first, never had semi perms myself!
Thanks
It's my thumb!
I get my L&P lifting on it but not my other nails at all.
It's very flat and wide.
Any ideas on what to do to stop this?
I've used both tips and sculpting. It lifts from the cuticle though either way. Useful for if u get clients with this same problem too!
I've just had to...
I wondered if I could have some advice on what to ask for next time as this balayage was not as I thought it would be.
I thought it would be more natural, streaky and graduated, not a block colour all the way up the high.
And that the colour wouldn't be so warm.
What's the best thing for me...
Can anyone recommend a hand cream with SPF in it that won't affect nail polish, gel polish and acrylics?
I know lanolin is best avoided but also some types of SPF affect nails too. But still want to protect hands from the sun!
Pro or not pro I don't mind because it's more about advising...
For my wedding I want my hair blowdried professionally to add volume and curl. Then I want it properly curled with a curling iron and styled in a half up.
Is it best to have the blow dry on the day? Or could I have this the day before my wedding and then just have it curled and styled on the...
It only happens to me! Not my clients.
Whatever brand- artistic colour gloss, gelish and shellac.
I always get lifting at the cuticle after about a week. I've tried buffing the nail, I've tried using a bonder, I've tried using a stronger dehydrator but it still happens.
Any ideas?
I actually am qualified in spray tanning but haven't done it in about a year. Plus I used a different brand which had a different technique and barrier products.
I got a spray done on Friday. I liked it but my hands now look like the pic below.
She didn't use any barrier on my hands at all, is...
I'm a beauty geek but wanted some hair advice for my wedding.
I had my hair styled recently with a curling iron and the curls dropped out pretty quickly.
I want myself and my bridesmaids to have curls for my wedding. I was thinking instead of having a hairdresser use a curling iron that we go...
Can anyone recommend best one please? Preferably with no shimmer and the darker the better but any plum us good!
If possible can I see a swatch pic?
Thanks!
I want to get the trial pack of ink London ilac as I'm interested in using it as well as artistic colour gloss.
As I only want to trial it I just want to use my artistic lamp. Will it cure properly under this? I won't be using on clients at the moment.
Thanks
I keep seeing this on people's price lists.
File and polish with shellac or gel polish with no cuticle work for one price.
A full 'manicure' with gel polish or shellac for more money. The manicure usually just meaning they do cuticle work.
Surely we always have to cuticle work when applying gel...
Hi
I'm in Edinburgh for the next 2 and a half weeks.
I'm looking to have a lash lift and tint, half leg wax and a pedicure.
Fairly central would be good as I don't want to get lost! Any recommendations or anybody have any appointment spaces?
Thanks [emoji4]
I'm trained in acrylics through my local college- I did a part time course.
I don't feel confident at all. The class was huge and I know the nail I produce aren't up to scratch. I was trained using the edge.
What is the best way to improve? Would it be to do a completely new course with a...
