CND Shellac is not a gel so why would you use a gel thinner? Just make sure you shake it very well before each application (even harder before your very first one of the bottle) and you will be fine. I wouldn't turn it upside down to do that, as I've seen a lot of people doing it this way...

That is right! 20 from the colors (2 coats per service), around 40 from the base and top coats.

So right! Try layering, too! I bought all 12 colors, but by layering them, I actually have around 50 that I actually like! And if you bling them up.... Even more choices! Yes, CND are focusing on producing more base and top coats right now, as well as some of the existing colors...

There was a batch of base coats that had that problem. CND talked about it in one of their weekly reports. You should take those base coats back to your supplier, and get some good ones!

Moquin, if you are interested in Shellac, I think a good idea would be to find a fellow nail tech who already uses it, and give it a try. This way you don't have to spend any money and you still see the product. Then, you will spend some money to buy it, because I am sure you will love it!

I think the key words here are "so far"... Keep in mind ladies that Shellac is NOT a gel, it is a hybrid nail color that contains solvents, just like nail polishes do. I wouldn't want to have it in a container that may be letting air in, and have the solvents evaporate and my product thicken...
