I perm all the time, but I have a problem. My test strand came out fine. Normal lotion virgin hair, processed 12mins.
She only wanted a soft perm. Used blue/grey and grey.
Checked perm after 10mins all good. Processed the extra 2mins. ... rinsed, looked lush. Diffused slightly. Looked soft but...
Oh Dean,
Can you come and do this for me lol
I have a client who thinks we are friends and the only person who knows her hair .... etc she is a good manipulator and i now travel 30mins to do her blowdry and straighten ! its 2hrs of my day and not worth it at all.
In the end I lifted it a little more with blondor and pastel, and refused to take it anymore, so stuck 10/81 colour fresh on it, too scared to use anything with a developer .. not worth it

Wella Geeks Out there ?OK, I have colour stripped and mildly bleached clients hair. I have achieved a 9/04 (wella tone) I am having a dilemma, I could p'haps lift another 1/2 shade lighter but don't think the tone is going to disappear :-/ Ive tried using illuminia 10/88 +pastel on test strand...
I have just started using it. I buy from salon ambition. I am a wella user normally but get more for my money with LISAP and they do a colour range called ABSOLUTE No PPDs, No Ammonia No resorcinol. I find the product nicer smelling, and just as good coverage as wella.

Yeah I rarely use high lifts. On base 6 or under I normally use bleach. Client did not want bleach but high lift tint, her last hairdresser use to use it. she was looking for a base 9 ash.

client base 6/0 used 12/1 + 40 vol Wella. Its gone yellow 9 and she wants it toned and slightly darker. Question I have is shall I use 1.9% or 4% with colour touch 9/16+8/0. I rarely need to tone so I'm a little bit worried

Hi guys, I have a client who wants Catherine jenkins haircolour . . . I am looking online, and it looks like 3 colours or 2 same bases with different tones and a darker base . . . maybe 7, 7/31 and 8.
What do you reckon?
I thought tinting then foiling is always bad practice, you would get failed in college .. as this is called double processing . . why is it ok with highlifts?
