Nearly all cosmetic dentists do veneers which damage natural teeth. I also never said they filed right through the enamel but they are filing part of it off which is damage. I wish you all the best with your treatment.

I used to use a tin with some pennies in, if she scratched or did anything naughty I'd shake the tin at her. It gave her a shock and she would stop.

It's more effort for your dentist but if it gives you peace of mind it's worth it.
