When your client has their face mask on? What do you do to pass the time? I have 2 facials booked this weekend taking place in a hotel room - what can I do with myself not to disturb client?

Thanks

Have you thought about adding a hand/arm massage? I think that would be a nice way to fill the time. :)

hand massage, mini manicure, scalp massage, foot massage, reflexology treatment :green:

Just ask what they would like. These little extras really make you stand out and put the treat in treatment. Just make sure you are qualified

hope this helps

I ask the client what they would like, nothing, arm hand massage or indian head massage.

Thanks all, im not qualified in indian head or scalp massaging? They are also having a manicure each - would it be wrong if I started this?

A foot massage is also a nice treatment to do whilst a masque is on....then if they are getting manicures they are done from top to toe!!

Personally I wouldn't like to have a manicure started when relaxing with my mask on.I think a foot or hand and arm massage is good. Some therapists leave the room whilst the mask is on,giving the client 5/10 mins relaxation.I in fact prefer to be left alone as I lose myself much better this way.HTH

I do about a 5 minute scalp masage and then leve then for about 5 minute whilst I change my water that way it gives them aabit oh time on there own to relax a bit more.

Im mobile and i have just started doin hand and arm massage during my facials wish id done it sooner. i used to feel akward whilst waiting for the masque. Ive had some great feedback from clients too

Thanks all I appreciate it x

I put a little bit of mask on the hand then wrap them in clinfilm then hot mitts. i but the mas on the hands very slowly with a facial mask up and down each finger a few times do it very gently and it feels wonderful.

I don't leave the room whilst the mask is on, I usually do a scalp massage and then pressure points OVER THE mask!

For some clients I give them a choice, scalp, hand, face, feet, reflexology or reiki.

Hey, i agree with everyone else, i just do a mini hand massage and sometimes mini head massage. Just really basic but it fills the 10 mins and makes the client feel more at ease x

Me too, a hand massage or foot massage also makes the client feel more pampered, and prob wont be expecting it so will feel like they are getting more for their money! A hot water bottle wrapped in towels at their feet also gives added comfort, especially during snowy times!!! ;)

For a mask that stays on 20min I first do the quick tidy up of the things I have used so it is neat at the end when they get up off the bed. I let the water out of the sink etc and then I do a hand and arm massage, not too long. It is fine if they are having a mani after. They wont mind having their hands massaged twice. I dont do head massage but some of my girls do. I then say I will just leave the mask to go to work and ask if they need a pillow for their back or another blanket then I leave them for 10min to relax. Some sleep. I leave the room and go do a skin prescription but you might have to just sit quietly.

You could do the hands then the feet. Use a hot towel to wrap them first then massage. People like to think they have clean feet first plus it is nicer for you :)
