I am still in the learning stages of my Bio Sculpture gels with my assessment in 2 weeks.

I have a girl who wants me to do her nails for her 18th Birthday party and also to do her twin sisters nails. I have not yet applied gel to a tipped nail. Her nails are quite short so she would like them extended but does not want acrylics.

Is it as easy to do as I think it will be :irked:!

Would I just prep and dual cleanse the nail,
apply the false tip, blend and buff down and take the shine off and then apply the normal base layer of clear, x 2 colours applications and then selaer gel?

How long shoudl they last her if I apply it all correctly. Please correct me if the procedure above would mean i am doing it wrong. All help appreciated. thanks x

Hi Sammy and good luck with your Bio assessment.

Firstly, Bio sculpture is not usually the most ideal product to use with tips as there is not enough strength in the product to help with tips. However, I have done it and can last if they are very careful with their nails afterwards.

You should have some instructions in your Bio tech handbook and I think in there it recommends that you apply a layer of clear gel onto the nail before you apply the tip. Obviously you must remove the sticky layer before putting the tip on and I recommend that you keep the tips short and dont forget to buff the shine off the tips for the gel to adhere to.

Once applied the tips I would then build with the s-gel (infact I would actually do 2 layers of s gel to increase the strength) then buff the nail to perfect the shape and then apply your layers of colours then sealer/s gel to finish.

You really do need to use the s-gel to provide extra strength and remember to keep the tips short.

You need to make it very clear to them too that this is not the strongest product with tips so they need to take great care of them.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
