Hi Geeks.
im a bit confused!
if ive done a course accredited by babtac (or similar) do i have to do anything after the course? like contacting the company its accredited by to let them know or something?
sorry if this sounds stupid, i just wanna get it all correct and in order :o

Thanks in advance for your help :D

To work mobile, at home or in most of the salons - you will need insurance. You are able to get insurance after finishing a course which is accredited. You will need to probably fill their form (online or contact them for one) and send copies of your certificates + you will need to pay a yearly fee - and this way you are covered from any accidents. I'm insured by ABT so process may slightly differ but could be the same...

Usually, a company will accredit a training course so that they can offer insurance for that qualification. So a BABTAC accredited course means you can get insurance from BABTAC for that certificate, a Guild accredited course means you can get Guild insurance etc.

Thanks for your replies so far geeks :D
still not quite clear tho...
...ive got insurance with prof beauty that covers me for all treatments.
ive now done an advanced waxing course that is accredited by babtac.
so im already insured to wax with my current insurance but do i have to do anything else in regards to the new course i have just done and new certificate i now hold?
also does it mean that if a course it accredited by a certain company then i can only be insured by them for that particular treatment?
sorry, maybe should have put it like this in first place!:o

Each insurance company is different, and so you will need to check with them. Usually, if you have gained a new qualification, you should inform your insurance company so that they know what treatments they are covering you for, and can let you know whether they accept that certificate.
