Hi All,

Am new to the game. Feel I have got Gel nails in the bag as I have been doing these on myself for some tie. However, just learnt acrylic application and out of the three practice sets I have doen, they all seem a little different.
I'm fine with the application and the patting thing (jsut need to practice bit more) but the thing I struggle with is the buffing and the 'shine' afterwards. Can anyone give any advice? Current Acrylics with tips is taking 2-2.5 hours!!

Thanks - Michelle

hey hun

have you just done training with someone for acrylics? did they not go over refining the nail with you?

im quite new to it myself, so im sure someone more qualified to help will come along and help soon but for now heres my little bit of help

if we get the application of to a pat(no pun intended) then there should be very little buffing etc left to do, so make sure you get your mix ratios and product application perfected , then there will be very little work left to do

how do you buff and shine?, sounds silly but i was shown one way on one course and could never get the scratches out completely or get that lovely high gloss finish

did my CND course and wow the difference is amazing, cos i was taught the correct order to use my files in, to get the perfect finish,

tell us what you do hun, then maybe someone can help finding something that may be able to help you:hug:

It has already been asked
What training have you had and Where ?

Hi,

Thanks for reply, I have only done independant day courses, have done one on Gel, one on acrylic and I have one more left on manicures. The training was good as in there were only three of us there to one tutor and I did a great set of acrylics on the day, however, since then I just can't seem to get the same finish and find that I am doing a LOT of filing and buffing and still not getting a complete shine.
All advice greatly received.......!
