Hi, i was wondering which other method of soaking nails in acetone is effective as the bowl method.

The reason i ask is to save time, if one of my clients would like her toes painting/pedicure/lash tint etc whilst the acetone does the work i can make a little extra money in that time.

I have tried the foil and soaked lint pad, but i found they werent very secure? maybe i could do it better somehow.

Ive also seen seperate finger pods, which means she could lie down on the couch, they look the part but i wonder if they work, and how would i heat the acetone in these?

Has anyone used anything like this? or do you tend to sit and soak.

I don't do l&ps, but when a client comes in with a set I go ahead and use the foil method.

It's possible to make it secure, but it takes a little bit of time. Then I wrap their hands around with plastic wrap, and then wrap their hands in a hot towel on top of that. I would use this time to do her pedi or lashes. By the time you finish either one, she should be ready.

Used everything in my time. The pods are fine but can leak and can be very tight and uncomfortable on some clients fingers and in particular thumbs.

The foil and pad method is the best if you can secure them properly. It takes a bit of practice but you can do it.

Magis wraps are also very good and save you the time and fuss messing around with bits of foil and pads and you may find they are more secure because of the lack of messing about. If you Google Magis Foil Nail Wraps they are sold by a company called Foil Nail Wraps if I remember properly. You will pay about £26 for 250ish acrylic wraps and £22 for the gel wraps. They also do the gel ones in toe sizes which is so handy! The acrylic ones have thicker pads so they hold more acetone for the thicker acrylic!!

I hope this helps you!! :D:D:D
