Hi there,

Well after 5 yrs doing nails, and now producing pretty good sets that last 3 weeks with no lifting, I have a problem client. She has been coming to me for 2 yrs now with no problems, and the last 4 rebalances have had terrible lifting. They are lifting on both sides and after 2 weeks they are a total mess.

I have absolutely no idea what is wrong. No medication changes, not doing anything different with her hands.

I have just re done them tonight. She has a gel french, but tonight I shortened them slightly and we did a coloured gel. I was over cautious with prep, and even used the extra step of creatives dehydrator (
the one in the blue bottle...cant remember name as I havent used it for ages).

Any suggestions as to what may be causing this ????? I would love to get it sorted as my next step is to put on acrylic, but she really doesnt want this.

Thanks

Ness

Perhaps her health is poor. I'm sure it will be a physical change in her. hen something happens that has never happened before then it is time for a check up by the doctor.

She is in the process of buying her first house, and hasnt been sleeping very well, and also feels a bit stressed. Do you think this may be the cause? We did think that all this started around about the time she was looking at houses.

Hi Ness, had the exact same problem with a regular client still no idea what happened but perhaps it was stress too, seems to be ok now only happend once hope it does'nt continue for your client ! xx

Hi Ness,

Stress does all sorts of things to the body, it could very well be the issue. If it continues for much longer though, I'd gently suggest a trip to the doc for a checkup.

It could be as simple as handwringing she never did before, to something like a cortisol imbalance (thats the hormone your body releases when stressed out).

Good luck. Its not YOU from what I am seeing.

Nancy

Stress can absolutely cause this reaction.

I had it happen to two clients over the years and one it was that her husband had died (can't remember the other) and all her nails actually just de-bonded!

REAL stress affects the body hugely. Moving house I understand is one of the most stressful things we go through along with death and divorce.

Thanks everyone. I will try and get her to take a chill pill then ;-)

Hopefully it will all settle down in the next few weeks.
