hi all, gina sent me a message about the new akzentz opti bond, it sounds really promising, has anyone used it yet ?

I ordered 1 yesterday - so I will be giving it a go really soon.

Probably leave the feedback in the group section tho.

I do like the options range tho.

i used to use it but had trouble with free edge lifting so i'l be really interested to hear about it. I'm off now to join the akzentz group !

Yeh, I've been trialling a pot of Optibond over the last few weeks. I had real issues with seperation at the FE with the original options colours, but am happy to say that with Optibond, I have had practically none...despite putting my nails through their paces to test them. You still need to cap really well, but it grips the natural nail very well indeed.

Grips like anything over tips....even had a pick myself to see if I could shift it before soak off (all in the name of research of course!).....nope, not budging. And it soaks off lovely and quick

I've also tried on a client who is a regular Bio user. She felt that she had slightly more raggy edges in zone 3 at her 3 week rebalance, but I was pretty impressed at how well they looked, as she is quite heavy handed. They infilled very well.

Certainly gives me a lot of confidence with Options (I understand some of the colours have been re-formulated over the years to improve their grip too) and I shal be introducing more and more with clients.

Like every other sok off gel I've come across though....it still doens't cope with constant immersal in chemicals and liqids, and really doesn't like suntan lotion, or mosquito repellent!

Aw brilliant news.

I got mine this morning and will have a go to try it.

I just wish they would get some fab colours - like bio's but no other soak off gel companies have managed this.

Yes, its a remarkable difference with the Opti-Bond I'm happy to say! I've had 2 people this week who went over 3 1/2 weeks with no problems at all!

As for the color selection, it's amazing how many new colors you will come up with just layering the Options colors! Some people were getting a little bored with the colors so we started a color wheel with combo's like 1 layer Classic Red and 1 Layer Exotic Orchid...it's beautiful!! and if you've seen my newest tutorial I used 1 coat of Paprika and 1 coat of Tuscan Sunset. I'm working on filling up the whole disk with 21 combo's and I'll post a picture when I do.

Just bumping this post back up - Gina - did you ever get around to doing this disk of colour combo's?
