Ive just recieved an oxfam unwrapped brochure.I came across this last year when my neice asked for presents from this for her wedding. She has worked a lot in Romanian orphanages as a speech therapist.I bought her an Alpaca.
Anyway its very good and i especially think its good to buy children something for others as part of their christmas present eg £8 will buy 8 school books £15 a camel £6 a health check and £1,700 will build a classroom so lots to choose. You could do it on behalf of your salon or company instead of buying gifts for your workers. My school PA will be buying something this year for schools and i shall also get something, probably an animal ,from my children for christmas.

We stayed at an amazing hotel in Cambodia (Hotel de la Paix) earlier in the year and they pride themselves on supporting and working with the local community, unlike a lot of the other large hotels there.

They, and their sister hotel, have charitable arms that we now support. This year we sponsored two school kids, bought a water well and paid for a Piggy Bank. The waterwell is also dedicated, you have have a sign saying whatever you want on it.

Unfortunately we didn't organise it in time for it to be ready for our holiday otherwise we would have arranged a trip to see the well and those it is helping. Next time I want to build a house for a family!
