I have a question and am interested in your thoughts.

When one has a bridal or baby shower held for them, is it tacky to have the guests address their own thank you envelopes?

My feeings are, yes, it is tacky. I personally feel that the bride/mom to be should take the time to personally thank the gift giver, including addressing the thank you envelopes herself.

I'm curious to see what others think about this. Thank you!

I agree with you, I think its tacky as well. If I was asked to write out my own thank you envolope I think I would tell them I will pass on the thank you card tbh... :)xx

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? Thank you! :)

Very Tacky, You may as well say WRITE YOUR OWN CARD TOO.

Funny you should say that...I'm now hearing of showers that do just that...have the guest write out their own thank you card. I cannot believe the nerve of some folks.

Thank you for your reply!
