I have been using tantrick for a few months now and have recently got in some LA Tan in 10.5% and 18%. I have onlytried the 10.5% on my sister who is really pale and usually has tantrick 5 or 8% and the LA 10.5% came out lighter She said it was so light she ended up putting her own wash off tan on top for a night out and was quite disappointed with it. Ha anyone else found this?xx

I know whats in the juice so no surprises for me in the slightest

hiya

i use that la gold and it comes out quite dark even on the pale clients and they all love it. have the 8 too, must admit not really used any other makes.

maybe it was a duff one? if thats even possible haha

i was just going to order the 12 and thinking about the 18. not sure now.

what is the 8 like? i was sprayed with 18 a few weeks back and it came out quite light but after soeaking to LA tan they told me that you have to spray heavier with this solution to make it darker but havent tried that yet. The 10.5 was even lighter than tantricks 5 i think. I get tantrick 10% and it is dark on me just the way i like it but my sister is probably the palest person i know and said LA 10.5 was really light.

Have you tried it on anyone a bit darker?

surely of you spray heavier, it uses more solution!?!

I trained someone a few weeks back and they were using LA Gold, it seemed an OK colour going on. Not sure what she developed like though. It went on well, but the girl herself was very pale. Only did two light coats using about 40ml. Wouldnt want to go heavier as the client takes longer to dry!

i love the la gold. i would say a good half of my clients prefer the gold. I find that strange that you found it light, if anything it sould be golden..i have also got into the la disco(18% in dha), it isnt as scary as it sounds. It looks really stricking. I have had a few clients that want the 10 or 12% on there face and body and a the disco on there legs. as we know most clients want there legs to look browner as they find it harder to tan. i definatly say neither tans need 2 applications(as this would waste unnesscary solution). They are strong enough with one, even my mum who is red haired!:)

it was golden but just quite light. i only did one coat but definetly sprayed enough on and immedietly i could tell it was going to be lighter then tantricks lower percentages. is LA gold only suitable for fair people? wasnt sure about getting the 12 as dont like the idea of it being double dipped and looking darker than it will actually be xx

hey, la tan numb 12 is a totaly different colour its a dark brown colour not golden. la gold is for fair to medium skin tone aparantly. i understand what u mean in terms of the double dip colour guide. When u spary it it has got that instant wow look how brown i am factor. however some of my clients love that and go out on a night out when i have first sprayed them he he. each to there own x id get a sample and you can check it out, u may really like it x

do many of your clients like the disco? i have it but havent tried it yet. got a tan with it recently and it seemed lighter than i expected but i was sprayed really light xx

If you check out the pictures in my album the girl stood in the tanning tent has been sprayed with gold. I can get a picture of after too if it helps.
The man and woman have both been sprayed, The woman with 12% and the man with 10%.
I personally don't have a problem with the solutions being too light etc however i think it may be worthwhile bearing in mind that you are using a different product to what you normally use so it is likely that it will perform differently.
I have used many different product (gotta try them ) and have found each one has performed differently even if they are the same percentage.
hth

thanks for that

the man and woman look dark. have they showered it off in the pic? o have tandare booster drops so maybe ill try boosting the 10.5 up a percentage or two cos dont want to waste the solution but i think its definetly too light. all of my pale clients like tantrick 8% at least and i thought this was lighter. the 12 would maybe be better but the double dipping part puts me off. Is it only LA tan that you use?

Yes they have both showered it off. however the lighting where the picture was taken will add to the darkness!
It all comes down to personal preference with regards to the products. It's always good to try new products but if they don't work for you then stay with what you know.
i have tried many products and each has different qualities etc. scent, stickiness, viscosity, guide colour and final outcome, longevity etc etc.
You have to use what works for you and your clients.
I do have a picture actually of a girl with the 10.5 on in daylight i will try upload it.

that would be brilliant. can i ask what brand you use and have you tried 18% LA TAn xx

piccie now added x

had a look thanks. going to try adding some booster drops before i give up on LA tan xx

Can I ask, why are you faffing about with a company that has given you disappointing results, when you are already using one that gives you great results? I hope that's not come out rude, that's not my intent, its just that I really don't understand. Yes its good to try new things but having found that it's not as good as the one you already use, to me that would be a file under D for dustbin and carry on with the good stuff.

the 8 goes on nice, not a really dark guide colour obviously:lol:. to be honest not seen what its like developed but it must be alright as theyve rebooked for it. Ive never used 8 on myself as i think it wouldnt be dark enough.
ive got really olive skin (part greek) an i always use the la gold on myself. i seem to come out darker than my friends with it but they still go a nice colour.
i wanted to try the 12 then 18 next. seems mad that theyve asked you to spray the 18 heavier, youd expect to have to spray that lighter really wouldnt yeh.
that tantrick sounds like it comes out a good colour, how long have you been using that?
Ive heard quite a few things about suntana so ordered some samples last night.

I have to agree here...sometimes we can spend more time experimenting to find newer cheaper things when what we already have ticks all the boxes:eek:

...as they say "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence":green:

..that is of course unless you have sprayed the fence with B&Q's dark oak..then your side of the fence is far better...samples are available at £1.99 including postage and packaging :lol:

thanks for all your replies . going to darken up the la gold and use on myself and family and stick with tantrick in future as the difference in price is really only a tan or so xx

Its only the 10% that has a double dipped bronzer for an instantly deep tan, this usually washes off to reveal a lighter tan underneath (the 10% looks like a 12% when its a first sprayed and then develops to a 10% when the colour guide is washed off...hope that makes sense!)

The 8% has a light colour guide and develops into a light brown tan

The 10% has a deep colour guide and develops to a medium brown tan

The 10.5% has a light colour guide and develops into a gorgeous golden tan

The 12% has a deep colour guide and develops into a deep brown tan
(I am fair skinned and with most other brands can't go higher than a 10% but with LA Tan I can happily wear the 12% and it looks fab!)

The 18% LA Disco has a dark colour guide and a dark brown colour...it develops pretty much as the colour guide looks.

Since I started using LA Tan I have noticed a definite increase in clients numbers for tanning, my clients think its great!

The only thing I would say is that i'd like a 14% and 16% to fill the gap between the 12% & 18%, I don't like messing around with booster drops!!

xx
