Asian Art Inspired Nails

My client is half asian, half caucasian.
She is a young television hostess for a known Canadian show....

Anyway...
She has to attend a 3 day event that requires costuming (3 different ones) and we are attempting to co-ordinate her nails with them.
Something that will flatter lime green, and lavender.
Her costumes are still in the works, but one is a asian superhero (chumlee or something like that?) in bright green. (I can't remember the other's, she sort of darted all over in the convo)

She was thinking bamboo.. lotus flowers...

I was also thinking cherry blossoms, pagodas...
Maybe black background.. with the bright white, bright lime and bright neon purple art over top........

If anyone has any ideas or pictures to share to help get me going on this, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Great job! I think cheung lei was the girl I chose in mortal combat who flipped upstide down and did a spinning bird kick - I may be way off here!!! she wore purple and has princess leia style hair.

I'd stick to a general oriental theme as if the costume is loud then the nails may clash - get some inspiration from the scratch shoot out entries

I havent a notion about adding links but last summer Scratch did a photographic comp with taste of the orient theme some lovely work. When is it for I could dig the issue out and scan it....................possibly

YES, pretty please! Would be much appreciated. I haven't much time before her next appointment, and want to try out a few samples before I even sit with her. Hey, she'll be on tv... I want to be sure my nails STAND OUT lol without standing out for the wrong reasons :lol:
(but then, they are already on tv in a french LOL, which figures, since we all know my feelings on frenchs' HAHA)

Bamboos are quite easy to do.... I did some a few years ago ... but not sure if I still have the pictures... I will search for you...

Now here's a funny one.. LOL
I was sitting with my kids, watching Kung Fu Panda with them:lol: and as the movie ended, with the credits, I got some ideas.
Watching sunsets with tree branches across them (cherry trees I think?) and you could see the blossoms...
Anyway it gave me a few ideas.

When I get back from this morning's appointment, gonna have a seat and 'play' and show you guys what I come up with. OKEY DOKEY?

This is what I've come up with so far...
The lotus is a challenge... haven't worked out the kinks on that.
Tried the chinese character for power (thx for the link)
And also tried emulating a chinese dress with the mandarin collar....

Let me know your thoughts on my progress so far

PS: the branches with the dots is a cherry blossom tree
