used the new avviva labs ex tday left in on 2 hrs then washed not much colour change wot do yous think

Hiya, I offer Aviva Express and more and more clients are requesting it.

I was sprayed myself on Tuesday, showered after 2 hours and I'm very noticeably brown. I find that immediately after showering there's not much tan to see, but it somehow keeps on developing over the next couple of hours.

I absolutely love the advantage of being able to shower off the colour guide after a couple of hours and next time I'm sure I could just leave it on for 1 hour and I'd be fine.

xx

I turned out very brown from aviva after only leaving it on a few hours although i did find it had a slight orange tone to it.

Hi Emily9, you say you left it on for "a few" hours. It's marketed as 1 hour for a light tan, 2 hours for a medium tan and 3 hours for a deeper tan. I've experimented with all three (and more in between) and have never found it goes orangey.

In my research(!!) I found a statement on a U.S. website saying that it is not recommended that Aviva Express be left on for more than 5 hours due to the high level of DHA present (ie to avoid DHA Overload I guess).

xx

What is the actual DHA content of Aviva Express?
Just curious xxx

I've no idea! Because of the way in which it works I wasn't too worried about knowing the actual DHA content. I'm also very used to Fake Bake products (which don't list the percentage of DHA in their products) so have never got in the habit of concentrating on DHA percentages.

In my experience anyway, one brand's 12% DHA is different from another quoting exactly the same percentage so I always feel it's about far more than the amount of DHA.

xx

I left it on for 2.5 hours, i also tested Vani T- Velocity a couple of weeks later to compare the two and there was definetley an orange undertone i experienced with the Aviva. It did last well though and it wore off evenly.

Where can I find Aviva??? I seem to only find a US site or am I being dumb here!!! lol!

Sorry in a hurry, yes Aviva Express UK suppliers are hard to find, but if you call 07814 475173 a lovely lady will be delighted to help xx

Thank you very much! :)

Hey Tars

Have just sent you a PM with other contact details for Aviva - hope of some use.

For anyone else ... Skin and Body Business [email protected] 01582 463 697. Polly is the UK Aviva distributor and was a great help when I spoke to her.

Hi

We tested aviva on 2 of our clients, one felt is wasn't dark enough and preferred vani-t, the other preferred it to vani-t, I used it on myself a couple of days ago and Im very pale, the colour was really nice and didn't have any orange tones to it.

I recieved my samples of aviva last week and must say they are lovely. I tried the aviva hvlp turbo 12% which was not as dark as most 12 % but most natural looking , Pauline their rep is sending me there gimme brown which is darker (prob like another brands 12)

My client whom had the hvlpone looved it, said really natural, it went on fab,,very natural looking. My aviva express client was not too pleased although she is used to very dark (iykwim lol and she put moisturiser on before hand soo her own fault lol) However I think aviva expresss much better than velocity (by miles). Defo placing order with them. x

hi all wondering if u an help e i bought the aviva epress tan and used it on 3 people and its oing out really light barely notieable all my other tans work great one een left it on oernite and it wasnt that dark as it should be the other 2 left it on a few hrs i know i doing eerything right and so is the lients not happy with the produt at all has anyone else eperiened this

Hi there. Have tried lots of solutions, and found Aviva to be well received overall by clients as well as on this site. Before I bought Express I was told that it was a light tan that darkens over time. Knowing that clients are not all the same, some clients go darker than others, but all get what they want. Maybe you should be buying something darker (Fake Bake?) to get that dark tan if that's what you want.

do you know of any other express tans i know of vani-t

Spot on SunSpray. There is so much more to solution formulation that the % of DHA. The quality of the DHA and the supporting ingredients within the formulation also make a huge difference to the final outcome.

Speaking from experience, many "express/rapid tans" simply hike up the amount of DHA in the solution causing problems with drier and fair skin types. Clients who are DHA resistive have very little if any visible tan with these types of products.
