just booked a flight with squeezyjet and it says I can check in online now although I'm not flying until July.

can't find any information about it, and am too scared to press the button to check in until i know more about it.

if I do check in now, does that mean I don't have to turn up 2 hours before the flight? do I just go straight to departure? what do I do? puzzled. (not a regular traveller as you can probably tell)!!

best ring them flower - they change the goal post all the time

I'm flying with another company in October and it says you can check in online 5 days before.
From what I have read on the site you check in online if you have only hand luggage and then go straight to the gate with your boarding pass.

If it's unclear then I would definetly give them a call and get it from the horses mouth hun, you wouldn't want to miss your flight.

Yon don't need to worry about checking in on-line if you are taking luggage with you..if you just have hand luggage then checking in on-line saves all the queueing up, just call the helpline number.

definetly just hand luggage.
but where do I get the boarding pass from apart from at the checking in place!?

will ring helpline.

There was a page you print off and take with your passport on the airline website I've used.

You usually check in online about 5 days before you fly, you get a emailed a page to print off with your checking in details on it, you hand these in at the departure line, only when your taking hand luggage tho...hth x

When you check in online you'll need to fill your details in an online form, including your passport details, just make sure you input everything correctly - I saw some poor old guy almost refused boarding because he put in one digit wrong! Also, if you're only taking hand luggage check to see if you're also allowed to take a small handbag, sometimes you are and sometimes you're not, and if you're not, if you can't squeeze it into your hand luggage you're sent back to check in to put your hand luggage into the hold and you have to pay extra for the priviledge.

Also, if you don't travel often, you might not be aware of how strict they are about 'prohibited items' in your hand luggage. No liquids over 100ml, don't take any lotions/perfumes etc unless they're in 100ml bottles or they'll take them off you.

And don't let the bloomin' security staff intimidate ya - I'm sure some of them are hired because they never smile! Having said that, the security staff at Dublin are really nice (I travel back and forth to the UK every month), they have always been friendly whenever I've gone through. Liverpool airport security staff are a different matter, I don't think I've ever come across a more surly, unfriendly bunch - how people can go through their daily work without so much as a smile or making eye contact with you amazes me! Be prepared!
