Today's work. Peed off as I can see a line. I should have known better to soften the line on her ones length natural hair.

Hi geeks, I'm not an extentionist, but is there any chance that I can get some advice on my own extensions? I have had them in since mid feb. My own hair has grown quite quickly. I'd say I now have around 21/2-3 inches of regrowth. I've had no problems or any falling out until this month. I've lost around 8-10 and a few even have my own hair attached. They are also shredding loads now. And getter really tangled at the bonds now. Is it time to have them removed? They are glue pre bonded.

They should of been out a while ago. They should only be in 3-4 months max then you would need a refit. It's your hairs way of telling you it's had enough

I agree with the quote above. Also, it's normal to loose done strands. Your hair shreds naturally still but when you've got your extensions in your own hair can't come out with the brush so when the strands fall out you'd end up with a few little hair if yours coming out with them as its just you naturally shredding. We loose up to 100 hairs a day and you can google that. So after having then in for such a long time aswell I wouldn't worry about it. Your extensionist should have told you to come for 8 weeks check up and then advise you when you'd need them removed

Oh wow! I never realised, she told me that they normally last upto 6 months but with good products and care upto a year. Being a hairdresser myself I've been able to care for them pretty well and they are still in descent condition. I'm surprised she never told me about coming in for maintenance checks etc which is a shame because I definately would have. That's a very good point about natural amount of hair lose. I didn't think if that. I love having my extension, they have been amazing until now. Would you suggest that I need a break before having them reapplied or I can have then all refitted straight away? X

If your a hairdresser yourself you will know what re growth is like at 6 months??
She probably meant the hair itself will be good for 6 months to a year.
You can have them refitted straight away.

As I said before I'm not an extensionists, and I have never worked in a salon where extensions were applied so they really are not my field at all. That's why when it started getting a bit long on my roots I started getting all hesitant about them and asked for advice. Thanks geeks, you've helped a lot xx

Angel Remy after a 14 week refit. She's an air hostess so her aftercare isn't as good as I'd like, but the hair and bonds were still amazing.

After seeing all the lovely work from you guys using angel remy on here I'm gonna give them a try x

Micro weft Hun ??

Yeah the micro weft. Loving it. So quick & easy. Have started doubling rows and picking up the natural hair underneath instead of from on top and they hold amazingly and so neat x
