The look really straggly and uneven.. How many bonds did you use? And what weight was each bond? You need to use better hair I think, and work on your finish

People like paying cheaper for half heads but personally I do not offer them if someone wants length. You need far more hair here. Start practicing your full heads x

You need way much more hair on this one. Unless the client has really fine hair half a head is no where near enough for length.

How many bonds did you use and how many strands?

This client had 100g but she has very fine hair, there is a huge difference between our 1/2 heads.

it was about 100 strands of glamorous lengths. her hair was very fine and thin. the amount i used matched her hair perfectly and she loves it. she wanted the ends messy because as you can see in her before picture, thats just her thing. so i left it.

i assure you it looks amazing in real life.

Hey Hun :)

Sorry to jump on with the rest. I think they don't mean it nasty there trying to help you by giving constructive advice. Most these girls have been applying years. I took advice off here quote similar and now my work has changed drastically cause I listened
How long you been qualified Hun :)

Hi Hun, sorry 2 jump in also. Can I ask, have you been trained with Belle by any chance ? They do say it is enough for a full head 100-150 but iv found that it is deffo 150 at LEAST !! And this is 1g strands.
I have only been doing it for about 3months, but had to bend over backwards to realise what is working and not and also help from the Salon geeks if course ! And I have much more to learn and will as I do love it :))

I do know what you mean it's how she likes it, I have never understood why so many people style the extensions, have them perfectly straight ? Why not layers, I love layers in my own hair so not going to pay hundreds of pounds to get a straight cut on it.

But they do look thin, did you cut/layer these ? Maybe that's why x

thanks but she wanted it like that.

😂

Never in my life have I heard a client ask for thin straggly hair!

I wasn't being rude, I was giving you feedback, which is what you wanted was it not? Posting work like that will definitely get you constructive criticism.

This is my example of 100 1g bonds...

The hair that you fit is a walking and talking advert for your business, if the client wanted more length then you should have had advised her that more hair would be required and priced accordingly. If your client cant afford or if you think its going to look like a bad finish, then walk away

100 strands of 0.8g or 1g would not have given this result if fitted correctly, especially if she has fine hair it would be alot thicker and fuller, even by chopping off a couple of inches you would of been able to slightly better the scraggy finish.

I hope this helps ;-)

I understand you are trying to give constructive criticism, it hurt my feelings though because it really does look great in real life and she was so happy with it. the other woman i did was also about 100 strands, maybe a little more and was a correction of a horrible micro ring job another woman did. the hair was too light and she only had it in a week and had lost 50 strands. i took out another 25 when she came to me for help that were slipping and ordered her hair in U-tip. she absolutely loves the ones i fit and after 5 weeks it still looks and feels amazing. i did trim the ends of hers and again at the maintenance day. she lost 3 and i removed 2 that were slipping and refit fresh ones in.

i was trained by belle and only a couple of months ago. the black hair was my first head and the blonde my second. the blonde told me she would never go anywhere else and she should have just come to me in the first place but the other girl was cheaper. she paid for it too =/

i have my little in home salon all set up now and have started a board with the poor quality extensions, fresh never used extensions and the ones i removed at 5 weeks just to show people how the hair behaves as it gets older. i couldnt be happier with the glamorous lengths russia range and i have had experiences with awful hair in the past so im hesitant to change brands. =(

most hair looks amazing when its first done, the problems surface after the first or second wash ive found.

xx

Never in my life have I heard a client ask for thin straggly hair!

there is a first time for everything! her hair to start with was thin and choppy layered. she just wanted length not bulk. i did what she asked of me! i asked her repeatedly if she wanted more that i could fit more and she told me no so..../shrug lol

your fit looks great!

Sorry hun but I agree with the other geeks. It looks really straggly. I PERSONALLY would not have pics like this advertising my business even if as you say she wanted it like that.
I'm a little confused how it looks better in real life than it does in the picture.
If you and your clients are happy then cool but by posting pictures on here you are going to get constructive criticism and can't take it to heart. A lot off the geeks on here myself included specialise in extensions and have been doing them a long time so we try and help by pointing out where we think you could use help x

3 packs of russian tape from SJK, the client has previously bleached which has left the ends very faded and shes trying not to colour anymore so I have matched the ends with a #2 to create a very subtle ombre whilst she grows her hair - before pic is shocking, my apologies! x

Looks great :) have you had any problems with the sjk tape ins yet?

thanks but she wanted it like that.

My advise to you would be to not allow your clients to tell you what to do.

Ask yourself, are you happy for your client to be your advertisement walking around like that?

If a client asked me to leave their extensions like that I would have told them, no sorry it's a bad finish, and wouldn't have done them in the first place if they had insisted.

As Wifey said - 100g if you used 1g strands should have given a much fuller look than that. Was is the 0.6g range from glamorous you used? This is what I was aiming at when I posted an example of my work of 100g.

In fairness, if it was styled better in the picture I think it *could* look cool. Choppy, edgy like skater girl type of hair. But you need to focus on the styling, lighting and setting of your photos to sell your work at it's best.
