I'm thinking of setting up a webpage and email domain, but there are so many sites that sell them to choose from :/
Can anyone suggest any reputable ones?

For domain name registration, I swear by 123-reg, 123-reg | Domain names | Domain name registration

They are very competitively priced for registering domains, and you get features like web forwarding, full control of DNS settings, e-mail forwarding and ability to change nameservers included in the price (certain other providers have been known to charge extra for features like that).

Be aware that you might not need all the extras they suggest though; often you don't need extra POP3 mailboxes if you already have an email address at your ISP that you can forward email from your domain to.

Another vote for 123-reg here!

Yep, I've used 123-reg for nearly 10 years now, and they've always provided an excellent, reliable service and great value for money.

great, thanks for your help :)

Yes 123 are good but if you are looking for a good combo try oneandone the provide an excellent all round service including a great web building app, you can get a one page site just by purchasing your domain name with them! That way you can start building a site without any cost!

There is a lot to choose but the it depends on what your requirements are
*How emails do you need set up?
*Do you want to access it online or have it downloaded to your computer?
*What type of website,is it a simple 5 page or more complicated where you need to have a lot of space?

If you can be a bit more clear on what you need then I might be able to advice on what you need. You don't want to use a company that has limited space or email or you don't want to pay too much for something that you don't need.

123-reg are offering 3 months free on their site builder thing too at the moment. And their prices tend to be similar (if not cheaper) to 1and1 too.

Right i've signed up with 123, paid £57, now im onto using Instant site builder.
I am not impressed at all, the templates they offer are rubbish :/ and its SO confusing :(

and im not looking for a complicated site, i'd say only about 5-6 pages, and one email account.
:grr:

I've never used their instant site builder - that's why I suggested the free trial to see if you liked it before parting with your hard earned cash; I've just used them for domains - which they are excellent for.

I'd recommend keeping the domain name and asking them for a refund on the instant site builder if it's as bad as you say. You should have a 7 day cooling off period under the Distance Selling Regulations - if not, get the OFT to spank them!

I'd be the last person on the planet to recommend any crappy generic templates anyway - I hate the darned things with a vengeance!!!

No, you don't need to register to search for guinea pigs, but you do need to register if you want to message people.

Apologies for the slow search on there by the way - it needs a re-design - the membership has probably tripled in the past month owing to being featured on some of the "money saving" websites - so it's highlighted performance issues in the original search design but at least that means there's now lots more "guinea pigs" out there for therapists to practice on.

i'm in the middle of building a website. i'm doing mine for free on Microsoft Office Live Small Business. its great, finding it really simple to use! and i will be buying my domain name from 123reg to, very reasonable prices!

I use http://www.one.com/en/

I have had one website (.com) for three years now, and it still only costs me £22.00ish a year and only cost me £10.00 for the first year.

You get the first years hosting for free, they only charge for the domain name registration when you first buy. (my recent one, another .com was only £10.53)

Everything is all in one place and you can check your emails on their website, they also have free image hosting and a simple website builder/templates too.

I couldn't recommend them any higher tbh. :)
