Hi,

Lately when wiping the final coat of sealer or flexi after a coloured nno i am sometimes experiencing the colour wiping off on certain areas of the nail and only on 1 or 2 nails i have had to go back and touch these up then re apply top coat cure and wipe again then they seem ok. My bulbs are recent and im applying thin coats and curing for the full time. I have noticed it happens more on some particular colours than others, anyone have any ideas where im going wrong. Thanks x

are you making sure you apply enough sealer and an even coverage. I have only known the colour to show when I do the final wipe if I have missed some area or applied the sealer too thin

Try putting this on the bio group, you will get loads of help on there.

I agree. I would say this is your problem. It is easy to miss a tiny area when you apply sealer. Make sure every layer you apply, covers every other layer you have applied and you will not have the problem.

thanks for that i will give it a go, it happened today again but inly on two clients, maybe im being skimpy with the sealer! let u knoe how i get on x

are you sure all your bulbs are in tight?
in one of my lamps one or the side bulbs seems to work its way loose from time to time. its not immediately eveident as it still lights up on the 3 other bulbs and it appears to be fully lit but when i check properly the 4th one isnt lit itself.
but i do find it leaves a spot of undercured colour when it happens, so maybe its worth a good look in the lamp.

yes i checked lamp and even though they are lit up you could be right 1 might not be in properly, do you know if bulbs lose strength over time or do they stay at full strength then just pop when gone? im going to take a spare lamp today and give that a go x

Bio recommend that bulbs are changed either every 6 months or with 500 hours of use, whichever is the sooner.

Isn't it ridiculous that so many uv lamps are made that don't have the features we need to help us in our job? Why do we need to wait for product breakdown and problems and clients who are disappointed before we know that our bulbs need changing??

The new CND UV Lamp has a digital feature that tells you how many hours you have used the lamp ... YEA!!! It counts DOWN the time with a digital display so you know how many seconds are left before the lights go off ... YEA!!! It has multiple digital settings for different cure times for different services and is suitable for both hands and feet ... YEA!! Even a cool handle for carrying if you are mobile. FINALLY a lamp that is made for We nail techniciansand does the things we need to function at our best.

unfortunately, no they dont just go pop like a regular light bulb. they still light up but they give out insufficient u.v energy to produce a thorough cure.

you must replace the bulbs every 6-12 months depending on how much use your lamp gets.
