Hi !

This is my first post so I hope everything is okay  I did search the forums for anything similar to my question but couldn't find anything, sorry if I have missed it !! and sorry for the long post ! lol.

I am currently in my second year on a part time course at college working towards my NVQ2 qualification in Beauty Therapy.
I am passionate about nails especially and have been researching for months for a course that will tell me everything I need to know and enable me to become a complete Nail Technition.

My first thought was Creative, but because of many reasons this will not be possible. :|
I have however found a course in my local Capital, and know of one person who did the same and recommended it..but i wanted to see if anyone else had done the same or knew of anyone who had and if they would also recommend !! :)

The course is a 5 day course called 'Complete Nail Technician' by Training Solutions, I am sure.. I will recieve a certificate, the course is approved by Habia and Public Liability can be obtained through The Guild.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance, lovlies ! :green:

Hi Emma Jane,

If you are doing beauty therapy at college at the moment, they should cover nail enhancements, obviously this will be general training not specialised but what about doing the CND conversion course after you have done nails at college?? hope this helps xx

Thanks for the reply Sarah, it only covers basic mani and pedi but i want to learn gel, acrylics, fibre glass and silk nail extensions.. sorry.. should have mentioned this in my post !
The course I am currently studying doesn't cover these at all and the course that did that i was going to join after this year, they have stopped doing now as it wasn't popular enough

Also, the course I have found at Capital covers all of these :)

Sorry I assumed all colleges offered this doh! lol I cant really comment on capital as I have never heard of them, hopefully one of the other geeks have, or have trained with them. I can CND is brilliant the training as with all good companies is expensive but well worth it, it may be worth looking in to local funding if you are looking to set up your own business as this is what I did and without it I could'nt have done the course. Unfortunatley funding is different in evey area so I dont know anything about it for england we have a business gateway in scotland and also the princes trust which you might have. xx

Thanks for your help, Sarah ! I hope that other geeks have trained with capital/training solutions and offer advice but i will defo take on board what you said. Thanks alot ! :) x

Personally I would steer well clear of any course that is offering to do all systems at once....5 days isnt enough for one system let alone all the others as well...4/5 days is ok as an intro/foundation to one system and im inclined to feel that any company offering a course in all the systems together in a 5 day course is probably not a very professional company...
...I would suggest Ezflow or Creative and one system at a time x
