My friend gave me a brazillian today or at least tried..... I was in agony, practically screaming the place down!!!:cry:
I swear it was the most painful thing ive experienced in a long while!!
I am a qualified beauty therapist and used to wax my bikini line myself all the time!
I stopped waxing when I became pregnant last yr as couldnt get into the weird and wonderful positions needed to wax myself, so I ended up shaving and have been for over a yr!!

I now wish id never shaved and had kept up the waxing as now im dreading the next time i have it done!! Any suggestions to prepare myself for next time??

Get waxed again in 3 weeks, then go to 4. Don't allow the hair to come all the way back in, for sure do not wait for 5 weeks or more, you will be back to square one.

Another thing, I didnt like to say anythin as she is a friend, but She wasnt keeping the skin tight, so i was holding on for dear life, trying to keep it tight! should she of been keeping the skin taught as well? she was sort of doing it one handed?!!

Let it get long enough for the wax to grip and find yourself another waxer. She really should have been stretching the skin, unless you freaked her out with your screaming

Did she use non strip wax?

If you keep the hair short and get it done regularly, it'll be a walk in the park. xxx

If she can not bring herself to touch you in this area and keep the skin taught then she should not be doing it all,
this is not an area you can afford to be shy in,
what wax did she use and has she been trained to perform brazilians ?

She used warm wax and the hair was roughly 2cm long (if that) It was about 2wks growth but im not very hairy !
She did not attempt to keep the skin taught (before I started screaming!) So I was pulling and holding myself cos i was terrified id bruise!
She has been waxing for 4yrs, same as me, But I would always ensure to keep the skin taught!!! She has 'aparently' participated in In House Training, so has not got an actual qualification in intimate waxing.

The reason I asked her to do it was because it was more convenient for me, as she did it at my house and did not charge me!

Next time, I think ill go to someone who knows what they are doing!!

This is soooo true!

My friend normally does my leg waxes and i scream blue murder...
My fave quotes are:
- Are you sure your pulling the skin tight - Here let me show you
- Ow what the heck did you do there
-No seriously it shouldn't hurt this much what are you doing
-Did you get your HND in a lucky bag

Maybe (& i wasn't there so i dunno) your being too picky! You were maybe having a 'sore' day we all get them & possibly being over critical of her skills because you were in pain.

Please don't shoot me for asking but most of us have did this at some point to a fellow beautician.
