Help! My grown up daughter is home for the weekend and she's lost both her big toes. They are now growing back ok, but I want to extend them both to a 'Proper' length before she goes home tomorrow afternoon.

They have both grown back about one third of the way to a 'Normal' length and are a bit thicker than they used to be. They look quite healthy, but I'm new to brisa and would appreciate some advice on how best to tackle them, please? Do I build them up in a couple of layers to meet the current thickness or what?

Could anyone give me some sort of step by step of how best to tackle this. I have done 'Ordinary' gel overlays on toes, but this is a bit different. I don't have any coverage gels at present and so I'd be going over them with a coloured enamel afterwards. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. :)

I havent done this myself but I would sculpt the extra length on just as you would with a finger, building up the layers and then going right over the top.

To my mind the only problem would be that the extension could get caught on socks tights etc and this cause leverage of the actual toenail - HTH

Thanks, Adele. I did it an hour ago, pretty much as you describe. Her toes certainly look a hell of a lot better and she's amazed at the transformation <looks pleased with self>. Just hope they last, so I've ordered a daily feedback text on them!

I just did this exact thing on a friend last week. She had just over half a big toe nail (and the skin was healthy) so we tried oiling the skin, and then building up the nail to match the length of the other one. I've asked for feedback and so far so good! She was over the moon with the result.

I just searched the forums and followed all the great advice here. Worked like a charm.

Hi very interestyed in this as I only have part of a toe nail my self. I have looked at the peter pan tutorial and think its excellent. However I currently only use gel, so is it possible to bulid a free edge with out a form and if you put oil on the free edge with gel would the gel still build out a new free edge ????????????? (confusing myself know !)

You only need a very small amount of oil and almost rub it into the skin,
the oil is acting as a protective barrier to prevent over exposure,
you will still be able to build up a free edge, hth
