Brisa Bond question for science geeks

Having passed my L&P masters yesterday( thought I might just slip a mention in :lol:) and still hyperactive :eek: I thought I might as well use my energy constructively and look at Brisa.

My question is; if Brisa is cross linking covalently bonding like Retention+ why do we need Brisa Bond?

Is it something to do with gels being oligomers or am I on completely the wrong track?
 
Liquid Bond improves adhesion by covalently bonding the gel to the nail :green:

Thanks hun, but thats my point, Brisa gel is cov. bonding any way so why the need for bond!?

They covalently bond without using the Liquid Bond, but it helps adhesion when you use it. I've applied Brisa without it before (forgot to put it in my work bag) and worried (needlessly) that they would all lift, they were fine. I'm assuming (possibly wrongly lol) that if your prep is A1 it doesn't matter if you forget to use it, but it's better if you do use it?!?
 
I really am guessing a bit here but I work on logic and this sounds right to me.

Gel is an oligomer not a monomer. Therefore the polymer chains are already there a little bit. A monomer has a chance to form good bonds. An oligomer has already formed some bonds. It may need a tiny bit of extra help.

It will still bond but the extra help makes up for the bonds already made
