Brisa gel & finishing gloss

I am usually a L&P girl but sometimes use brisa. My question is after applying all the gel, why do you need to buff off & use the finishing gloss. I have always done this but the last set i did the nails looked really good (& had a nice shine) and it jused seemed i was buffing off, applying finishing gloss because that is what i was tought. But what would happen if I did not do that last step?

i dont use brisa i use ibd, but if im happy with the final result after applying the final layre (without gloss) then i wont buff and apply gloss as the ibd clear is nice and shiney, however it's very rare that i have no filing or buffing to do and i find the buffing and filing i do before my gloss smooth the nail out and give me a chance to make it perfect...

also the gloss layre is added strenght too...so perhaps in your system thats why u need it...just an after thought
