Having been blown away by Brisa and seen the fabulous Nailista Roxanne work her magic I have a question for all you experienced Brisa Gel users....

I did not notice wether Rox applied a thin layer of Brisa Clear sculpting gel over the entire nail having cured the P&W for 2 mins...I do remember her using the Brisa Gel topcoat from the polish style bottle...in my education handbook from the kit, it does say to leave the inhibition layer on after curing for 2 mins, then apply the clear sculpting gel to perfect the shape...I know we were seeing 'a new way' to apply Brisa, but I've never used gel before. So....do I use the clear sculpting gel after doing & curing the P&W's, remove layer & then refine & use the topcoat or just cure the P&W, remove inhibition layer, refine & use topcoat??

I appreciate I may sound as thick as a whale omelette, but gel is new to me so be gentle lol!

I always use a layer of clear after doing the white so that i can refine the nail without filing away any of my white....but i only apply the clear in zones 2 and 1...this keeping my zone 3 nice and thin. HTH x

Amanda said that you can apply clear in the area between the pink and white to fill any dips you might have this is up to you.
I do this so as Angie said you do not lose any of the white while refining the nail.
You would not remove the Inhibition layer before applying the clear but you would after before refining then you apply the Gloss Coat.

After christmas I am going to be filling up these boards with gel questions lol...
But in the meantime the more people that ask them the better when I come to set the search bar on fire :green:

I am soooo excited to have learned something TOTALLY new and way out of my comfort zone...
It's about time lol

Excellent 'tip'...thanks! :)

I always put a thin layer of clear on too for the reasons Angie stated.
