Ooo this is something I'd be interested in knowing too...I've just completed my course in gels and they used buff off - but in the real world (rather than the classroom) what do people like?

They are for different types of applications, so it would depend on your client's needs.
Buff off--or traditional gel can be sculpted on a form or tip to enhance the length of the nail, while SOG's are mostly for natural nail overlays.
