Business Idea..?

Bit short of cash with business at the min but I'm never hort of an Idea or two!

I was thinking set up a "beauty agency" I know theres a few out there already but they usually want a subscription or something similar... I was thinking maybe have one so they only have to pay if they get a client... ie... a client rings us to say they would like to book with Cindy in London to have her nails done... I simply take a % from a card and I keep that then the client pays cindy her cut on the day..??

I was also thinking have reviews on people so the clients can see what the beauty, make up or hairdresser has been doing... have "top rated" beauticians etc??

Maybe even have the professional perform a treatment (or whatever) on a model and they give me feedback...

What do you all think.. questions and ideas would be useful and if all kicks off rewarded =D xx

Er, I didnt bother to get it, I have salons, so I'm not really gonna be trying to book hair and beauty appointments!
I read about it in a magazine.

okayyy havin wee think here, what i see of the market at the moment is that people want good value and value for money, sooo what about putting a slant on your website - u tell people where they can get treatment they want and at best price? u cud put in other factors like distance / reviews etc.... basically the beauty version of laterooms.com, you could be bookmybeauty.com ?????? hey thats a really gud idea lol, do it before i do lol.

one word of advice, before you do anything research your market really well and cost everything out and work out true profit, no point doing it unless there's profit

but do you not think this is a long term idea rather than a short term money maker? maybe you should consider other ideas if its quick money you thinking off? just a few wee ideas

No defo not a quick money maker! Would be init for long term! Look to expand quickly and stuff... There really fab ideas hun.. yeh defo need to do some serious research!!

I cant really see how this would work

I dont mean to burst your bubble but I find that if someone wants their nails, waxing, hair etc done then they go by a recommendation given by a friend or family member.

So you would get your money from charging salons a % to recommend them?

You would book the clients in? So you would have access to therapists/ salons booking systems? Or you would phone up the salon & book the client in?

If you are going to have reviews on salons and salon names, location etc, how can you stop clients booking directly through the salon?

Once the salon has had the client for the first time, they would then book directly with the salon for future appointments. So you would only really be getting a one off % for each client not repeat % is that right?

You said that you are based in London but your location says Spain?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to understand how this will excatly work? xxx
