hello all, its a bit of a rubbish thread but wanted to ask if anyone else has the same problem as me after a really busy day!

quite a few times in past months and especially on a thursday (longest and busiest day) towards the end of the day I start to get horrendous pains in my abdomen above my belly button. They are so bad they make me feel sick and its a nightmare trying to carry out a professional treatment on my clients all the while i feel like i'm being stabbed in my tummy!

I wondered if anyone else experiences this, i thought it could be down to the busy rush all day where i can't stop and chill out and have a quick bite to eat and drink, also i always have a piece of chewing gum on the go (chewing it very discreetly mind!) to avoid those dreaded breathing bad breath fumes over my customers. That plus being bent over at the desk (sounds rude sorry) all day - does this affect anyone else?

Hiya,

I would imagine chewing chewing gum all day might have something to do with this as when you chew something the juices in your mouth get going and the acid in your stomach builds up to get ready to break down the food its about to receive but with chewing gum obviously nothing will be digested - also with leaning over the desk all day it could strain your stomach muscles causing pains but i think it would be more to do with chewing gum. Why not suck on a mint - something discreet like a tic tac or smint!

HTH's

i'd agree with elegance, its the gum.
i always have a bowl of mints on my desk and often offer the client one and have one myself. their no substitute for lunch, but the little bit of sugar helps me get through the day without feeling ill.
i also like dried cranberries as they are reasonably healthy but a good pick me up when i cant get proper food.

Eat a couple of Digestive biscuits if you have no time for lunch.

Your stomach needs something to digest if you are skipping meals and I find one or two digestives does the trick.

I absolutley know what you mean, I too get really bad stomach pains although I do beauty and nails if I'v had a couple of clients for nails and I'm sat down my stomach is killing me, I was wondering if it was to do with my posture and kind of hunching over, I try and eat something otherwise I do end up feeling really sick!!!
I just try and push through it and pretend its not there although one of my collegues did say I went a bit green the other day, Sorry to hear about you probs and glad its not only me!! I try not to chew gum as I find this makes it worse:cry: Hope it gets better:hug:

I've had a sore stomach before. When I did my first rebalance it took me ages. My posture is really bad. I think it's that. I've really got to work on good posture.
