Cake help!?

Hi,

Im a little stressed its my sisters party on saturday and we havent sorted a cake yet. Its an engagement/30th birthday for her and she said she wants both ocassions on one cake. Now i havent a clue what kind of design or anything what to do, i dont know what to have put on it, my mind has gone blank

Her theme is Purple & Silver

If anyone could come up with some ideas that would be helpful :hug:

Try Google images and there are load of cake on there which could be adapted.

I would do a plain white cake (regal ice) with lots of cut out purple and silver stars, then using purple and silver piping, pipe some swirls inbetween the stars.
if you cut out a larger star and allow it to dry, then pipe dots around the corners, that could stand upright to make it appear more 3-d.

I would also have some stars stuck around the sides and then just some plain white shell piping on the bottom with a dot between each to highlight in alternating colours.

you could even cut out a few stars, use a piping tube to punch a hole in them and then when they are dried put some ribbon through and use the stars as a "tag" to write her name on.

hi chick do u have sum 1 to make the cake, i have a fabulous cake lady who is very reasonable and her cakes are divine, and she is excellent at wot she does she done my friends 30th and every commented how lovely it was ......if u need her number pm .....hope u get it sorted :hug:

You could make a square cake. Use white icing to coat the cake, using a flower cutter, cut some different coloured sugar pastes. then a smaller one's to make 3d effect and place around the sides of the cake.. Using icing pipe around the bottom (base) and the edge of to top. One side have Engagement and the other Birthday.

Alternativley buy two small allready decorated from M&S or some where and just decorate yourself.

OR make two heart shaped one with bithday and one engagement.
