I'm very new to the industry and due to do more training in the New Year so I'm sorry of this thread seems a bit pointless but I'm curious

A friend has just told me she went to a new nail tech (home salon) in her area to have gel toes done (I live too far away to do them), she is very happy with them by the way. After the nail tech finished she asked my friend if she wanted a few wee hairs on her feet and toes removed as this was part of the service, my friend agreed and the hairs were removed with an epilator.

Now I am a bit miffed because the nail tech is not trained in beauty or hair removal so surly she should not be offering this as part of any service?

I would say no, if she hasn't trained in either beauty or hair removal then it won't be covered on her insurance.

I too would say no firstly because of insurance and secondly no BT would recommend an epilator as a method of professional hair removal. A suitably qualified therapist in waxing or threading is preferable if this service was to be offered. :)

I agree with Sandie and essentia hun xxx
