It very much looks like acne roscea to me. Best not treat her when its active like that and ask her to ask her gp for referral to a dermatologist xx

I doubt if she's had it a year it's impetigo as it would have spread all over her face after that time.
In Chinese face reading that area indicates a hormonal imbalance.
I suggest she gets to a dermatologist and /or an endocrinologist ....
If all else fails go to a herbal medicine specialist who would help . ( actually the herbal medicine would be my first port of call if it was me )

The poor girl. I suffer with acne I feel for her but think that definitely is a little bit more than a breakout she needs go get a 2nd opinion

My friend has a skin rash on her face... has done for years.. she has previously been finished with endometriosis.. turns out she has something called SLE which is linked with the endometriosis and her skin and a few other things... that might be something for her to look into
