hi

i have been getting my lashes from secret lashes lately which have been great but after getting my own done and speaking to the girl i noticed that the sizes from secret lashes are not exactly correct for example there 10mm seem really short compared to the novalash 10mms she has?

I am looking for somewhere else to purchase eyelashes from as another thing i have noticed is the Cs from secret lashes are not as curly therefore dont give as much of a wow when the client looks at the lashes straight on.

Even if i have a lash on every single natural lash and use cs and ds they look better from the side than straight on so im looking for lashes with a good girl that the client can see more than the ones im using at the moment.

Im not sure if i exlain myself very well but i hope you know what i mean xx

I am not sure i fully understand what you are after but if you are looking for curly extensions you can only use them if your clients lashes are the same curl....ie if your client has straight lashes there is no point of putting extra curly extensions on because you just wont get the bond you need for the lashes to last?

You should pick the extensions depending on your clients lashes which doesnt only ensure the natural look but also that the lashes last as well as a happy client....which should be our ultimate goal!

hi thanks for replying

what i meant was i am looking for C and d curls that are curlier than the ones i have at the moment. Its kind of hard to explain but i want them curlier so that from head on view they are really noticeable. The Cs i have at the moment are not as curly as other brands Cs and the lengths seem to be different fom other brands too if you know what im mean?

like with the secret lashes i have at the moment my .25 12mms are longer than the .20 12 mms also from secret lashes.

I do still have quite aot of the flirties lashes from my training which i am happy with but i rarely use Js anymore apart from to mix a few into a set all of my clients like them really curly.

so im looking for a good supplier of Cs and Ds if anyone can recommend?

When you are comparing the lashes you have mentioned for the length are you comparing two different curls ?
if you are comparing a C curl with a D curl you will see a difference in length as one is curlier than the other so makes them look different lengths, hth

nope comparing two same curls and lengths only they are not all the same and the secret lashes are not as big or curly as other brands Cs so looking for another supplier

3D (AH Francis) Eyelash Extensions | Eyelash Extension | Eyelash Perming | Procedure Tools > Fibreless Eye Gel Pads - A must for eyelash extension procedures

Stunning adhesives, ok by the time they are delivered they are about £50 a bottle but you pay for what you get.... they have been providing adhesive for many, many years, its their own, we used to use it in the US, they have been going that long.

I would say that the pads are also by far the best on the market, they spit into two applications, so sting (q10 blaaa blaa), no slip. you can not purchase the pads they supply from anywhere else! once tried you dont go back, every now and again something comes out that is just such a good product, they are that something.

They do a wide range of lashes, but I am not fussed by the lashes, you live and die by your glue! and that's why they are a winner.

I have been using Glam Lash. I have J curl annd B curl just waiting on my C's arriving this week. I am very happy with then so far so will update once I have my C curl too.

Louisestherapy on SG can help you out with Glam Lash. Prices are good too. I also totally love GLam Lash gel patches and adhesive.

The difference with 3D is they do not use generic products, you will find many companies use the same glue just re-branded (its plainly obvious) As for the pads, yes I have seen them,

As in their others things, with 3D its made just for them.

The 3D glue is USA made, its nothing like any of the others, and takes time to master.

Many adhesives will not state where they are made, just say CE, this can be done in China or anywhere. 3D have the guts to say where the products are made, not just imported by. USA are the leaders, lashes have been over there for a long time.

thanks for you replies

i am currently using novalash platinum bond glue which is amazing so really happy with my glue just need to find a reasonably priced supplier of Cs and Ds,

i have a few companies in mind so im going to get a pot from each and see which i like best. secret lashes are great priced but i feel that there sizes are shorter than they should be and not as curly as they should be . I get 12mm .25 Cs on myself and the girl uses novalash lashes but when one falls out i notice they are longer and curlier than the .25 12mm Cs that i have. xx

I have eyelash extensions, one appointment the therapist switched to using 3D glue without telling me to really find out of it was better. They lasted twice as long! The glue fumes didn't affect me either which the other brand had.

I have my training booked with AH Francis in May, I can't wait!

It's lucky you didn't have a reaction, as really she should have patch tested you with the new glue!

True Lou. I don't think I ever get patch tested anywhere now for anything. Actually I don't think I have been patch tested for at least 4, thats at chain salons, independent salons and mobile therapists.

Does everyone always patch test? Can not patch testing invalidate insurance?

Try AH Francis, very good quality.

As far as I know you have to patch test with 3d adhesives. If you do not follow the glue suppliers user guidlines, yes, it can in-validate your insurance xx

The treatment is performed without the need for a patch test as the glue does not touch the skin. That is what we were told at our training with Lash Perfect and that is what a client sign before the treatment.

Yes it can, if the manufacturer of the glue recommends a patch test is carried out and it isn't then the insurance is invalid.

When patch testing for lashes you do not apply product to the skin, but apply just 2 lashes to each eye. Or at least that is how I was trained, I appreciate that training will vary between different manufacturers.

How did you get on with the training with 3D lashes? I am thinking about training with them.

I find this absolutly shocking!!! It is essential to patch test a client for anything that can cause irritation. We patch test for EVERYTHING at our salon, hair colour, eyelash/brow tint, eyelash extensions and also tanning, waxing & facial products if the clients have had a reaction to a product in the past.

Not only will your insurance be invalid, but is an allergic reation really something you want risk to inflicting on your clients?!?!
I'm not saying that you do not patch test, my horror is at the many salons/therapists you say don't!

It is very bad practise and very unprofessional.

xx

The chain salon was Essensuals (sorry about spelling, the one thats part of the Toni and Guy group), I would have thought out of all the salons I have been to, they should be the most on top of patch testing.

On another note, I have had my training! They did recommend patch testing and gave out consultation templates including patch testing info. Am loving it and couldn't rate A H Francis higher.
