Hi all,

I am opening my new salon in the summer, and have been trawling the web and salon geek for advice on which skincare range to use/stock. I have found that as a small salon I will not meet the criterior for many reputable brands, why????
Anyway, I am intested in using Cetuem skin care and nail polishes as they are attractive and reasonably priced for a start up business, but does anyone know if the products are any good?
I have bought some nail polish from them before at a beauty show, and I loved it, but I have no clue about their skin care products.
Any feedback at all on this q, greatly appreciated.

do you have a website address for Cetuem? I googled it but couldn't get a man web site

i'm also looking for products that are cheap, with nice packaging and have had good reviews.

cetuem

Polishes wear well and they have a good choice of colours in the range. I also agree the mani and pedi range is good.

The polishes are very good, excellent coverage and long lasting I have quite a few of theirs

Hi,
I bought the starter facial range and like it. I think it was about £100, and I also bought some retail items at the time too.
The facial massage oil smells lovely and the packaging is quite classy. There is an eye treatment with a dropper which is so nice to use.
They sent some display boards and leaflets with the kit and (although I haven't had tome to go,) there is an academy for training.)
HTH

I have a cetuem booklet in front of me with web address as Cetuem

Have you also tried Germaine De Cappucinni? They have a vast range which is not too expensive and you do not have to take everything on.

hi ya i have just taken on cetuem facial range, they have a product knowlegde/ seminar days. where you can go and watch a demo with no obligation to buy.

the packaging is really nice and up market, retail price is good. i watched their collegen facial mask its brillant and really effective. they are great at given you promo material. always hapy to help you too!

ive taken on their mani and pedi range too which is great, also ive used their wax products in the past. oh and they have a fab product called majic effects, its an after wax balm. i love it it worked to come down spots on your face too!

the only thing that is good but kind of bad is that they have no set facial routine. which is great cos you dont have to learn yet another new routine, also it means your clients doesnt get the same facial month after month. but then means there is no consistancy as such.

cetuem arent well known because they only use a small percentage to advertise the rest goes back into the product, reserch etc. jordan has been quoted in ok magazine saying she uses their products, also cetuem is well know in posher parts of london where they double the retail price because of the area they are in.

i hope that helps any questions pm me

xx

Hi!

I really like their products- the polishes come in a really good range of colours & last well. I also like the actual bottle, i find the brush really easy to paint with!

I went to their wholesalers before & got a good deal on lots of products, display system etc

Always stock up on a few of the bright pinks for myself when I go to Pro Beauty!

The bottle looks just like the Chanel ones & I have seen them on sale in salons for (as someone previously posted) x 3 the trade cost!

Wow thanks everyone for your replies, I thought the n.v. bottles looked like Chanel too, v stylish. I guess the lack of facial routine means you can do your usual cleanse, exfoliate, steam, massage, mask etc.
Nice to hear some positive feedback as hadnt spoken to anyone who had heard of it before! Very grateful.

they have a brush cleanse routine, where you can use thier exfoliating gel or you can use exfoliating gel and a purifying mask together and brush cleanse. on the demo they did one side of her face with just the gel, and the other with the gel and mask. put on thier aha collegen mask (atthe mask stage) and the gel and mask side plumped up more, it rehydrates the skin 180 %. but yeah you can do any routine you like. they like the idea every treatment is unique to customer and therpist and salon x

I have just passed my mani/pedi course with ceteum, and there products are amazing.
I have to say however that as for the polish I only have tried one that came with my EN Gel course and It was the worse I have ever used very thick, and gloopy and I know others had the same problem with it.
But if the facial care is like the Mani/pedi, then your definitely on a winner..xx

ive been using cetuem products for 5 weeks and my skin is brill my hormonal out breaks are reduced and my skin is more consistant.

I have done a facial on one of my clients, who followed me from a decleor salon. she has sensitive skin so we were both alittle nervous to try something new, but we were amazed that the results were better than decleor.

Also my mum had a facial on monday and like me she has used decleor for years, but found the results were so much more noticable with cetuem. The only thing my mum said was different was that their products smell more flowery and fresh than aromatherapy.

im just having trouble getting people to try a company that isnt well known or advertised, going to do a promotion i think.

we use Cetuem in the salon....its a good product, but there is no marketing behind it, you kinda just get the products and do what you want with it...theres no structure, no press nothing to help you sell it, so we have moved onto other brands. Shame, as it is a good product, probably not a bad idea for a start up mobile therapist, but for a large salon like us, it didn't do enough to sell it. Not even any posters or anything, but we still offer it. We have had a client on a course of Skin Lightening facials, (Illuminating facial) I think it's called, and we're not 100% sure that she's actually improved, so...not sure about the claims they make on those sorts of things, but obviously the cleansers, moisturisers etc are all really nice. DUnno if thats any help, but it's just my findings with them :D

Hiya

I dont really know very much about cetuem products, however i have seen them at a few of the shows in the past. I think they usually exhibit the london olympia show.

Anyways, i had a look at some of the comments above and it seems they do some nice really polishes but not so much feedback on their facial line.

I had a look at their site and the packaging seems nice, and they seems to make some quite bold claims, however the proof of the pudding s is in the eating as they say, so have you contacted them for samples ???

if so i would be interested to hear what they are like???

Furthermore ask them about kind of support they provide ???

I noticed a reply earlier from one of their stockists who said that they dont give out much in terms of one to one support, and also support materials.

This is really important as you cant sell a product that you cannot promote to your client.

I currently use Pure Fiji in my salon and i can highly recommend their products.

They have a fantastic natural facial line which is both extremely cost effective and also has great results too.

They are a great brand to work with and also give lots of support in terms of promo stuff.

Check them out, if you havn't made your mind up!!!

Hi
I found a website for pure fiji as i have also heard very good things about them. The site seems to be for everyone, do they have a proffesional use site or log at all, please. Thanks

Hi All. I thought I would share my views on Cetuem. They are such good products and I really like their service!!! I have been offering their body treatment and its so easy to sell with the award. Their skin care is also awesome. My clients keep telling me how good the treatments are. On another note, they must have improved on their marketing since others in the forum have used them. I have been given loads of leaflets and posters and other bits. They showed me a really nice portfolio and I just picked the posters I wanted. Prices are really good and all their packing is really classy. They are small company though but I think that's what makes it special. It's still really exclusive and the support they had was great. Thank you Cetuem. :Grope:
