u r qualified nail technician and working mobile....so what r u using at the moment?? what system u trained with?? how long was ur training?? i think u have to fill that in ur profile!!! and when u say nail product what do u mean with that?? tools?? systems?? or what??

xx

sorry it wasnt me who made me the profile it was my friend who made it up for me, so the information wasnt correct i didnt even know i had a profile to be honest i usually only come on to read other peoples threads, so i apologise if you were misled! i have changed it now though so theres no confusion. I am training with essential nails and am also at the scottish beauty school doing mani/pedi course, by products i meant creams, polishes, etc.

I agree! I *LOVE* Creative products. I took the CreativeSpa course a couple of weeks ago and I love the mani/pedi products. They are just gorgeous! Top quality, too, so you know that your clients are getting the best! :green:

PS... I would also recommend the Creative training programmes as they give you a good grounding in their products and how to use them. Also the Educators are brilliant!

I chose my product line, CND, because it's the one I was trained on in beauty school. I've tried many different lines since then, but I always came back to CND--the training is superior, and so are the products. I don't use anything but CND nail enhancement products, and I wouldn't mix them with other lines. I adore the entire Solar range--especially Solar Oil--and I also love the Scentsations lotions and soaps (Honeysuckle and Grapefruit=LOVE).

That said...I've recently become acquainted with Haken products. They don't do acrylic or gel, but they have a LOVELY line of lotions, cuticle oils, scrubs, etc. And they smell HEAVENLY (especially Creme Brulee! Yummy!). I won a Chocolate Mint Pedicure kit from them last year for the Strut Your Stuff comp, and it really smells wonderful. I don't know if Haken is available in the UK, but if you ever find any, I recommend trying it. Good stuff for natural nail services.

Hi, this is the first thread i have posted geeks so bear with me,

All am looking to find out is what product ranges are good for enhancments materials ie gels, acrylics and that. I am using dream products at the moment but i am just curious to what others are available and are good?

thanks lacey

Creative nail design and ezflow are the top two i believe,
but you would have to do a conversion course with either company if you wanted to use them hth

What training have you had so far ?

what is conversion, please, would it not be possible to train in both CND and Ezflow,

Hi girls,

How do you go about choosing your product ranges? i.e polishes, enhancment stuff, creams (all for nails, i am training to be a nail tech) i dont have a clue were to start so how uz chose and went about it and what uz chose and why would be really great help, thanks a lot Carly x

I trained with Creative who sold everything i needed so to buy from them just seemed the easiest option..I do have bits and bobs from other places as i have been to trade shows and see things i like the look off...some have been great and others not so great but thats how we learn what we like and what we don't.

Trying a bit from here and there is fine...i get most of my basics (paper towels, wipes acetone) from Sally's and the rest from authorised distributors.

what is conversion, please, would it not be possible to train in both CND and Ezflow,
A conversion is where you're already a trained technician and want to train in another company's product. They're usually one day courses with a certificate at the end of the day's training. You can train in as many product lines as you want to, so yes, it is possible to train in both Creative as well as EZFlow.
hth's

If you are training at The Scottish Beauty School in Glasgow, then ask them to show you the NSI Spartitual range.

Its a multi-purpose, hand, feet & body range and it's beautiful. I use it in my salon and it's extremely popular with my clients.

The best idea, in my opinion, is to call several different suppliers and ask them to send you samples. That way you can try the individual product ranges for yourself.

When you say you are training to be a nail tech, what exactly do you mean?
Where are you training, and with which Company?

Im a fellow Scottish geek, and would be happy to help you if I can.

Welcome to the site

hiya, i use Creative products for my nail enhancements as thats who i trained with and the products are fab! The manicure stuff is really nice aswell but have a look around and see what you like. It's good to see what products other salons in your area are offering aswell so you can offer something different to them.

What training are you doing? bet you can't wait to get started! :)

I am also training, I am using what my college have given me:

Fibreglass and Silk = The Edge

Pedicure = Skin Truth

Manicure = Nature's Way, but I have a lot of 'Strictly Professional' in my 'home' kit and I love it, it smells lovely and works well

Nail Art = Ka Sa Ra Nail Art Paint (I think thats the name... and it is rubbish!)

Also next year we will be using 'Young Nails' for Acrylic
